🎱 Pool and Cue 💿

recently, i've been playing a concerning amount of pool. no assignments? pool. want to get out of doing some chore? pool. pre-dinner game anyone? what about post-breakfast? i planned this show when i had time away from my double life as a pool player. despite how terrible i am at the game (my friends say im the worst they've seen) the game never ceases to allure me. i love the sounds the cue ball makes when you manage to hit a ball or the feeling of sinking the ball you needed for the win. most of all, i love listening to music while my friends trash me for being so awful at pool. this is a collection of music that my friends loved (and sometimes hated, but who cares) that i played during pool. think of sinking the final 8 ball of the game while listening to this list. °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:･

hello! thank you for tuning in

Good morning, we happen to be up real early because we're on a bird watching trip today

thank you so much for tuning into wprb this early! how's birdwatching going?

We're meeting up with other people for a Grappling With Gulls field trip, at 7:30, run by a local ex-Audubon society. Then we drive from just outside DC all the way to the town of North East, Maryland, at the top of the Chesapeake Bay, because that is the best & closest place to look for rare species of gulls among all the common ones.

That probably sounds strange, but hey, people who sort through all the gulls to look for a rare species are, well, perhaps we're a little strange ourselves 😇

that is so cool. i remember i had a pair of binoculars as a kid, but i didnt really see many birds (it was a pretty urban town). how long have you been birdwatching for?

I've been watching birds since I was in middle school (which was a long time ago). I was lucky to live close to a really birdy park growing up

is there a "dream bird" for you? like a bird you really hope to get to see in person?

I'd love to see the Steller's Sea Eagle (https://ebird.org/species/stseag) that wandered from northeast Asia into Alaska and eventually made it to Newfoundland a few years ago. On its first winter in "the east" it made it as far south as Massachusetts. If it ever manages to get that far south again I will drive up to look for it

i am hoping that this bird comes to Maryland just for you (less of a drive)

Me too but that seems really unlikely

The Alvvays song did ... especially since the singer was singing "unusual" while I was typing how strange it is to sort through gulls

I like that first Alvvways album a lot

Archie, Marry Me and Atop a Cake are my favorites off that album
