Sympathy and condolences. To those who still have their parents, cherish them and allow them the space to not measure up to our expectations.
Mike Lupica (host) 8:05:26 PM
Thanks Mike.
TAndy 8:07:28 PM
Sending much love your way, Mike.

Ambrose Hughes 8:20:59 PM
Hi Mike! Sorry for your troubles, my heartfelt condolences, hope you are doing OK.
Mike Lupica (host) 8:22:49 PM
Kind regards, Ambrose. Hangin' in there OK.
Ambrose Hughes 8:22:55 PM
@Mike, coincidentally, I have the Tele on and they are airing a Documentary on Fanny!
Ambrose Hughes 8:24:09 PM
@Mike 🤗
Colin 8:24:26 PM
much condolences mike, fantastic drawing from the kid.
Marcus Watt 8:25:52 PM
Very sorry, Mike.
Mike Lupica (host) 8:32:29 PM
Thanks gents. I'll address it on-air later, but things are OK. Appreciate your vibes.
Rob from Maryland 8:33:32 PM
Mike, I'm sorry to read of your mother's passing. Love and virtual hugs from me and my wife.
Brian D 8:37:35 PM
Mike condolences. I am so lucky to have had a somewhat similar situation with parents born in the 20s and 30s and both living long lives ( one of them still at it ). Still sad when they leave at any age but so many great memories.
Mike Lupica (host) 8:39:32 PM
Brian, Rob -- thank you.
Mike Lupica (host) 8:39:49 PM
Music is the best therapy.
Mike Tropiano 8:43:33 PM
Music, the laughter of those we care about, sunshine chocolate..lots of things. Hope they're in ample supply for us all.
Ossy 8:45:15 PM
Hi Mike, from what I saw through the chat. Sorry about your mother's passing, much condolences and prayers.
Mike Lupica (host) 8:45:31 PM
Aye, thank you Ossy.
Ossy 8:46:22 PM
Also very sad to hear about the passing of Tina Turner, I can't believe it at all, I just can't!
Mike Lupica (host) 8:46:49 PM
Tina + Kenneth Anger. Bet the bars in heaven are PACKED tonight.
Ambrose Hughes 8:48:52 PM
@Ossy, Hello! Hadn't heard that shocking news about Tina Turner 😓
DSM 8:51:17 PM
Howdy Mike, sorry to hear it. Lot's of love your way.
DSM 8:51:25 PM
(being sent your way that is)
Jim H, Radioholic 8:52:38 PM
the radio just keeps going...
Ossy 8:55:17 PM
Ambrose - I heard some Tina's music playing lately, at an auto shop and thought it was someone that loves her music, then few hours ago on another radio station, they announced some singer passing by the name of T, but tuned to wprb, before I can hear the name
Ossy 8:56:19 PM
It was a similar summer like this when the wdas radio station played non stop songs of Aretha Franklin, and figured she passed, which shocked me too in 2018
TAndy 8:57:56 PM
I keep forgetting that Aretha is gone :(
DSM 8:58:26 PM
Ossy, I always get worried when a radio station plays more than one song of an older artist in a row, what it usually means. Hopefully just a two-for-tuesday
Jim H, Radioholic 8:59:18 PM
Kenneth Anger's officially dead? Been MIA for a while.
Ossy 8:59:28 PM
Michael Jackson's passing, hit me hard
Rob from Maryland 8:59:58 PM
David Bowie's passing hit me *really* hard
Jim H, Radioholic 9:00:26 PM
I literally wake up at the end of the day, sorry.
TAndy 9:01:06 PM
Bowie's blindsided me. I'm dreading the day when a certain music man who I won't name has to pass.
Jim H, Radioholic 9:01:26 PM
He was 96? wow
Rob from Maryland 9:02:07 PM
@DSM, on one May 15 in the 1980s, the local new wave/whatever station (WHFS) played 3 Brian Eno songs in a row. I was getting really upset and sad because I thought Eno had died. Then the dj came on and said it was Eno's birthday, so he was playing songs to celebrate it.
Ossy 9:02:09 PM
I cried when I heard about Chadwick Bozeman and it was on my birthday month August
TAndy 9:03:05 PM
This piece is a work of beauty
TAndy 9:03:13 PM
DAMMIT
DSM 9:03:24 PM
Ha @Rob, especially cuz Eno is not a radio fixture!
Ossy 9:03:24 PM
DSM - Same, and when I hear tragic news of every announcement
Rob from Maryland 9:04:51 PM
@DSM, he kind of was on the dj's show, which is why I was listening to it.
Jim H, Radioholic 9:05:29 PM
FMU has an emergency "BREAK IN CASE OF BOB DYLAN'S DEATH" wall safe so the dj on air at the time will know what to say
DSM 9:06:05 PM
Rob, I missed the part where you said new wave/whatever station haha
Colin 9:06:53 PM
mike still got it wrong, I didn't hear all the bird chips in his pronunciation.
DSM 9:08:19 PM
SAY WHUT?!
Rob from Maryland 9:09:20 PM
No, Mike, don't leave your night-time slot!!
DSM 9:11:41 PM
I'm forever shocked that it's just a pick up band, and also they were allowed to record it in prison
Mike Lupica (host) 9:12:59 PM
Rob, we shall see!
Gautham Kalva 9:13:38 PM
Hey Mike did u want us to check the wiki page of Lucifer rising? Just double checking..
Mike Lupica (host) 9:13:54 PM
DSM, yes 100%. It's like Crime playing at San Quentin, or the Cramps playing at that mental institution. It's amazing to comprehend the shit that used to fly w/o notice.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:14:41 PM
Gautham, yes, that and the page for the soundtrack! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifer_Rising_(Bobby_Beausoleil_soundtrack)
Andrew G 9:15:40 PM
good evening
Andrew G 9:16:07 PM
my condolences, mike. I'm so sorry
DSM 9:16:59 PM
Whoa I didn't know Clem was also on this, and in the same prison I guess
Mike Tropiano 9:17:54 PM

@Mike very interesting thanks for that and also I thought this might interest you and rest of the pit crew- https://daily.bandcamp.com/hidden-gems/the-asteroid-4-introducing-the-asteroid-4-review
Mike Lupica (host) 9:18:50 PM
Thanks Andrew.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:19:02 PM
Gautham, wow! Haven't thought about them in a long time!

Brian D 9:21:37 PM
From what I remember from many books, articles etc... the very beginning of "In The Evening" spooky modal Jimmy Page intro was related to the music he composed for LR. And some other parts that he often inserted into the Led Zep live performances.
Brian D 9:22:54 PM
And those bits and pieces are not a far cry from what Bobby B here ended up with on the final product coincidentally.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:23:20 PM
Brian, wow, never knew that. And I love the beginning of In the Evening!
Mike Lupica (host) 9:30:49 PM
This part about to kick in...
Mike Lupica (host) 9:30:59 PM
Blows me away every time.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:31:19 PM
It's like: HEADPHONES! NOW!!!
Jon Solomon 9:44:05 PM
Transfixed.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:46:26 PM
I know, right? I have to get up at 5:30 AM tomorrow, but kinda want to go home and bust out my Lucifer Rising DVDs at 11.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:48:36 PM
GODDAMNIT, I AM JUST LEARNING THAT MARTIS AMIS DIED THREE DAYS AGO. THAT'S IT, I WANT OFF THIS SPACESHIP.
Colin 9:48:55 PM
wednesday night is usually the night I plug in practice along with what is on theTFFP. This Bobby B track has been great for that.
Mike Lupica (host) 9:49:18 PM
Excellent, glad to hear it, Colin!
the_dude 9:49:22 PM
Having trouble getting out of my car right now...
Mike Lupica (host) 9:49:40 PM
Hahaha... hope you have enough gas for another 6-7 minutes.
Colin 9:50:10 PM
theTFFP = the, heckin, excellent, free, from, pathogen
Colin 9:50:35 PM
dude! that has happened to me numerous times with this station.
jimboo 9:51:13 PM
S'up mah freaques?
Mike Lupica (host) 9:52:15 PM
Welcome, Jimbo! Do you have a hall pass?
Colin 9:52:18 PM
jimbaugh innit?
Rob from Maryland 9:53:49 PM
Mike, we enjoyed the show. The Lucifer Rising soundtrack is superb. We're heading off to sleep shortly, and hoping we can catch you at this time two weeks from now.
Colin 9:54:40 PM
9th grade i made a fake hall pass in wood shop. The room number was one higher than the school's actual room numbers. It worked for a bit when i was wandering the hall unauthorized.
the_dude 9:55:08 PM
Lol definitely a point of pride around here, what's up y'all, sorry for the heavy hearts we all have
DSM 9:55:24 PM
ngl, was feeling a little "flash-backy" there for a moment
jimboo 9:56:01 PM
No hall pass, but I do have a toilet seat around my neck that allows me to go to the baffroom. Is that ok?
jimboo 9:57:55 PM
Did other schools use a toilet seat for a potty pass?
DSM 9:59:05 PM
lol, wait for real jimboo?
Elspeth Abel Slater 10:01:42 PM
I was a great fan of this band back in the day and had inappropriate thoughts about Mr. The Millionaire often. Drank my first Gin and Tonic at one of their shows!
Mike Tropiano 10:02:44 PM
I coulda had a crush on candace hilligiss, if Ishe weren't in such an eerie movie.
Mike Lupica (host) 10:02:45 PM
Fantastic, Pethie!
Mike Lupica (host) 10:02:52 PM
LOL Mike
jimboo 10:05:50 PM
Yep, DSM. Kinda shamed most kids into waiting to wee rather than suffer the indignity of hauling around a toilet lid.
jimboo 10:06:23 PM
The BEST combustible Edison song
Mike Lupica (host) 10:14:55 PM
Whenever I play stuff like this Colette Magny record, I'm compelled to wheel out that Bill Hicks line: "Just so you know, I am available for children's parties and church events..."
Colin 10:18:04 PM
I have a window open on the other monitor of a rov live streaming from the floor of the pacific ocean. well it is descending at the moment and will be live streaming its dive for like the next 12 hours. audio muted and colette magny providing the sound track.
Colin 10:19:45 PM
the stream https://nautiluslive.org/ it just landed on the floor. 4400 feet deep
Mike Lupica (host) 10:20:27 PM
Colin has thrown the gauntlet, y'all.
Mike Lupica (host) 10:20:35 PM
Also, v. cool cam!
Colin 10:21:35 PM
i did some stretching during the colette track, almost yoga
Colin 10:22:19 PM
almost yoga sounds like one of the spur of the moment cassette labels.
DSM 10:26:34 PM
Colin you're being really productive, I'm just lying on the couch farting around a car forum
Colin 10:28:02 PM
that was me last night dsm, nothing comes between me and some tuseday deadliest catch.
DSM 10:34:39 PM
Yes! That Woolworths I almost forgot about it!
DSM 10:35:32 PM
A lot of the times I remember my mom it's going on chores and shopping trips as well
DJPUP 10:36:01 PM
Thanks for sharing Mike, I’m sorry for your loss!
