7:01 AM		K. Leimer Method, Language and Silence Imposed Order / Imposed Absence (Remastered + Expanded) Palace Of Lights 2018 Born in Winnipeg, K. Leimer is an electronic musician based in Seattle, Washington (and more recently Hawaii). Active since the 1970s, Leimer primarily self-released his music for several years on his own Palace of Lights label. After 1983 he ceased producing music for ~18 years, concentrating on his graphic arts career, returning in 2002 to reissue old work and release new material.

7:10 AM		David Parsons Sarangi Saron Ngaio Gamelan Celestial Harmonies 1999 David Parsons is a New Zealand new age/ambient composer who began composing music in the 1960s. In 1989, Parsons began recording an extensive series of indigenous music sound documents in Egypt, Cambodia, Armenia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Himalayas and other locales. (Although trained in sitar, he doesn't use it much on his recordings.) The sampled sarangi was played by Nazim Ali Khan.
7:20 AM		David Sylvian Sunlight Seen Through Towering Trees Gone to Earth (Remastered 2003) UMC (Universal Music Catalogue) 2003 Originally issued as a double LP, the second disc had all instrumental songs. On "Sunlight Seen Through Towering Trees", he was joined on guitar by Bill Nelson. Only the 2-CD reissues have all the instrumental tracks.
7:23 AM		David Torn What Was Once... Tripping Over God CMP Records 1995 David Torn (born 26 May 1953) is a guitarist, composer, and producer. He is known for combining electronic and acoustic instruments and for his use of looping. Occasionally, he uses the pseudonym "splattercell."
7:30 AM		This Mortal Coil The Horizon Bleeds and Sucks Its Thumb Filigree & Shadow (Remastered) 4AD 2011 This Mortal Coil were a British music collective led by Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of the British record label 4AD. Although Watts-Russell and John Fryer were the only two official members, the band's recorded output featured a large rotating cast of supporting artists, many of whom were otherwise associated with 4AD.
7:33 AM		David Sylvian Sugarfuel Sleepwalkers Samadhisound 2010 David Sylvian was the guest vocalist for this one track on Readymade's "Bold" release from 2001. Readymade is Jean-Philippe Verdin, a French multi-instrumentalist electronic music producer, arranger, and songwriter.Sylvian later released this in 2010 under his own name on "Sleepwalkers", a collection of his various collaborations. His interest in music grew through various instruments; electric bass, electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, and now the touch guitar.

8:07 AM		Spinifex Veiled Veiled Trytone 2015 Spinifex is a European international modern avant-garde jazz quintet based in the Netherlands. Indian vocalist Priya Purushothaman joined them on the first half of the title track.
8:17 AM		Änglagård Snardom Viljans Öga Anglagard Records 2012 Änglagård is a symphonic prog band founded in 1991 in Stockholm, disbanded in 1994, and then active again since 2008.
8:35 AM		Universal Totem Orchestra Mare verticale Mathematical Mother Black Widow Records 2016 Universal Totem Orchestra is an offshoot project from the Italian Zeuhl band Runaway Totem.

8:43 AM		Entourage Music and Theatre Ensemble Soft Fist / Cleopatra Music / Harbinger N The Mermaid's Purse: Live at Chatham College, 1976 Smithsonian Folkways Recordings 2022 The Entourage Music and Theatre Ensemble were formed in Millbrook (NY). They were active from 1970 to 1983. During their career, they recorded three albums. The group performed music for avant-garde theatre and dance. In 1976, the musical collective was commissioned by the Royal Danish ballet to create the music for the representation of Cleopatra. This new single is from that period.
8:55 AM		Heldon In the Wake of King Fripp Allez-Teia (Heldon II) Cuneiform 1992 French band formed in the 70's by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Richard Pinhas, (sometimes called the 'French Fripp'), synth player Patrick Gauthier, drummer François Auger and scores of other musicians dropping in and out over the course of six albums between '74 and '79. This is their 2nd LP, released in 1975.

9:04 AM		Von Zamla Harujänta 1983 Cuneiform Records 1999 Incarnation of the Swedish RIO band Samla Mammas Manna, active between 1981-1983, and releasing two albums. This live concert from 1983 was released in 1999.
9:14 AM		Area Diforisma urbano Maledetti Cramps Records 2013 Formed in 1972 in Italy, disbanded in 1983. One of the more adventurous and successful bands on the seventies Italian prog (RPI) scene. Featuring Demetrio Stratos on vocal gymnastics.
9:19 AM		Weather Report Freezing Fire Tale Spinnin' Columbia/Legacy 1975 Along with Mahavishnu Orchestra and Return To Forever, Weather Report is a jazz fusion band that traces its origins to Miles Davis' late 60's line up ("In A Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew"). Their career spanned between 1970 and 1986.

9:28 AM		Djam Karet Saul Says So Sonic Celluloid H C Productions 2017 Djam Karet is an eclectic instrumental prog band, founded in California in 1984, and are somehow still active.
9:34 AM		Dhafer Youssef Iman Malak Enja Records 1999 Vocalist and Oud player born 1967 in Teboulba, Tunisia, he was being groomed to be a muezzin like his grandfather. He developed an interest in jazz at an early age and clandestinely listened to it during his education at a Qur'anic school. He is now based in Europe, usually Paris or Vienna. He calls the radio "the most important school" for him. "Malak" is his first real release as a leader.

9:53 AM		Pierre Moerlen's Gong Second Wind Full Circle (Live 1988) Musea 1988 After the departure of founder Daevid Allen the group Gong went through a rapid series of personnel changes with drummer/percussionist Pierre Moerlen becoming the de facto leader. The music evolved away from the psychedelic sound of the Allen-led era into jazz/rock fusion. The group name was changed to Pierre Moerlen's Gong to differentiate it from the other Gong offshoots and the original band.

Joe was great at that slow burn build of starting out perfectly plausible then morphing into the dark comedy absurd. Love the way he would list things. Had a certain cadence

Met Alphonso when he was in the band of late 90s lineup known as Jazz Is Dead with Billy Cobham, T. Lavitz, Jimmy Herring performing jazz inflected Dead covers (not the recent collab of Younge & Muhammad those are great too but a diff kettle). Alphonso was such a nice person. Talked with us about all sorts of things. One of those 2 shows in one night early / late deals so he had a break to talk.

Strange restaurant brew pub venue with square tables etc but it worked somehow. Rams Head in Annapolis Md (not the Bmore one of later )

Always such a treat ǝʌɐꓷ! Taking the bluetooth speaker to listen in the bedroom to catch a nap. Thanks for the awesome stuff in advance as I doze for a bit. So good!
