This was a bit more of a thrill when I did a purely themed show and didn't do at least an hour of whatever I want to play every week! But it's still fun to trot out old (and new!) favorites.

Maybe the last drive show from my home studio THE FACTORY OF HOPE because thanks we are on the brink in the power of freeform, human-curated broadcast radio to support independent music and keep exposing people to things that they never would have known they would like (and that an algorithm would never know to play for them). Being live, human, connected, and available randomly to anyone with a radio receiver makes radio special in a way that is hard to articulate. Being part of WPRB has been so important to me personally, and I am so proud to be able to contribute to it. So if you like me, the show, the station, the general concept of this kind of radio, please contribute!

Internation Women's Day Special!

Since it's women's history month and International (working) Women's Day was this week, here's my annual show of all music made by women! OF COURSE this includes trans women. With a national/international panic about trans people going on right now, I'm giving my trans sisters a little boost and making a concerted effort to include more of their music this time around. It's a small gesture but when you're seeing people like yourself being scapegoated, demonized, outlawed and attacked every damn day, small comforts can help. Of course ACTION helps more and I hope you will consider doing concrete things to combat this bigotry. More info on the issues and what you can do here (the other day there were 385 bills nationwide attacking the rights of LGBTQ people; today there are 399) and here (intro the the issues and ways you can help).
