Very nice start to the show! Two tracks in! Cheers, DJ DaveTheObscure 💟

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed, MrM 💜

Will it be a Subnormal with a new playlist at 10am est?

Yes, but 10:00 a.m. EDT

I rage quit

Is it really??

it is

Oh it changes 🙃🤓😱

Second Sunday in March → First Sunday in November

as if you did not know that already

Not awake?

that is the general idea

I meant me. 😰

it's always about you, isn't it?

YES 🕺🏻

as it should be

good rainy morning. enjoying the jordsjo.

good morning, Dale H. Glad to hear you like

good morning ꓳꓕǝʌɐꓷ, ʇuǝʇuoɔɭɐꓪ ɹꓪ, and ǝlɐꓷ,

good morning, Stevie P

Hey hey hey good morning everyone

hey, good morning, TAndy

mornin TAndy

Good morning everyone, we're quietly listening for a little while

good morning, Rob from MD.

this part reminds me of frankenstein by edgar winter.

the music comes from around the same time

a little bit of Al DiMeola there too

aHOY there MrM

TAllyH0, TAndy

was chick corea a trekkie?

no, even worse, a member of the Church of Appliantology

er, Scientology...

i used to work a few blocks away from their manhattan headquarters. always that uncomfortable moment avoiding them when they stood on the street trying to get you to join up.

i like the idea of a church of appliantology. do they worship amana and eureka?

all appliances are welcome

Not jokes/commentary on other people’s religion 👎

even if they're ludicrous?

even if it's just a cult?

Yes

poop

Be excellent to each other. And... party on, dudes!

good morning, Mok. Good advice

I think that was Abraham Lincoln if memory serves.

Causa Sui going full Hendrix here

Sheeeesh this is crazy

that's what makes it perfect for The New Abnormal

Woooo this song has been a ride!!

welcome, Dennis P. Glad to hear that you appreciate the music

I'm gonna send this to one of my coworkers, he loves jammy stuff like this

and it's over...

dat superclean transition

TopNotch Tracks for First Half of Show! 💟

thank ye kindly, MrM

yeah Dave's not here.

Who?

Good morning DTO, all others…great mix this morning.

unmistakably maneige.

good morning, dan C.

yeah, Dale, typical Maneige

MrM ! West Siiidddeee! Represent! 🖖🏻

Alright! Big CHEERS! 💟

💜

CARLOS SANTANA ❤️

again, I'm a day late for Hispanic Heritage Month

SANTANAAAAAA

🎸

🪘

So, er…who came first, Carlos or Return To Forever, Dimeola?

Congas aside

Santana

I think

Their first was first LP I ever bought, partly for cover art.

Caravan Surei (sp) was breakthrough for me.

Great live lp that one. And Lotus. Great band whew

Exhibit 🅰️ 🤣😎☠️

My parental disc retion, disc creeted

☜☠️☞

good morning, Brian D

👉💀👈

I overslept but Difficult Listening Hour acts as a swell alarm clock

Breakfast sushi?

oh well, Lizardbytes. Many people have lived full lives without listening to The New Abnormal

Take It Back!

I for one would be a lesser person

it's true, I tell you

They only thought they lived full lives

Deep Purple sample, never thought I’d say that

Had they only known

Double reason for me sitting down

Actually, many people actively avoid The New Abnormal

Rather unorthodox

Their loss, not ours Dave

True

they are quite content not to have to listen to any of this

Picturing paper bands over ears, like toilet seats at Red Roof Inn

Not to be judgmental but their taste in music is most likely inferior to those who do listen

Caffeine/Decaf comparison?

have a visual image of that Dan and it's a bit disturbing

there is no disputing matters of taste

but funny at the same time

That's funny cos I'll bring up bands I heard on the show in conversation and only one friend of mine actually knows who the band are and listened to a lot of their music already. No one else I know would know who many of these bands were.

Forgive me 👂🏼🍱

TAndy, that's the story of my life

Good music is why I Pledge Monthly to the station! (Get cool hoodies and shirts too)

thanks for your support!

I can't wait for the next pledge drive lol

oh, sorry, neglected to update the playlist. We're onto Squintaloo

Fall Membership Drive is just around the corner - October 26 through November 22

Drinking my coffee Can’t articulate words yet Radio is nice

That other music…they stay away in droves

Welcome, Milo V. You said it perfectly

👍

But…how to go back, to Feelin’ Groovy cover by Liberace?

@ dan, that is the drawback of listening to this show. Once you are habituated to difficult music, listening to the corporate rock 4/4 beat can become infuriating

This bass is relentless

that's the Zeuhl influence

That was Libby’s prog by the way

he did his bestest

He did. My favorite quote. His orchestra conductor asked him, “What do you want to do next?” “How about what we rehearsed?” 😂

I was about to say that this isn't nearly difficult enough, but now it's getting there

trying not to disappoint, Bud

I’ll say

Here we go!

🙏

“Flavor Bud Living”- Capt. Beefheart

Heck yeah!

Thank you, DJ DaveTheObscure 💟🖤💀

“Vagabond…Bad Vugum” -CB

💜 thank YOU, MrM

Slowly I turn…step by step…

Niagara Falls!

Speaking of which. Just found a guy in a barrel, Lake Mead, from early ‘80’s, bullet to head. Vegas hit…water level subsided.

gmorning dave - this is nice, discordant, and eerie...i'm a fan!

good morning, Norman B. Glad you can appreciate the music

“She was rapped in plaaastic!”

DJ DaveTheObscure, remind everyone in chat to stay tuned immediately following this show…

Late, great Jack Nance quote

Oh, thanks for the reminder, MrM!

I will be subbing next for DJ Senni Kat 10-12 EDT

music will be considerably less difficult

Cry Many

No crying during The New Abnormal!

save those tears for the next show

I'll be playing heartfelt ballads of the 70s

I know light can…music induced seizure

See Dave? All leads back to Liberace

The next show today will be The New Subnormal with DaveTheObscure! Stay tuned everyone! Two shows back to back next week too! Set reminders now!

Ordering 2nd IV

Burp that baby

What the hell will Halloween set be

eXcellent First Show Dave! Thanks and looking forward to the next episode in a few minutes!

Laura Palmer ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Morning On Bald Mountain

You can’t buy our love D

DJ DaveTheObscure 💟 many thanks for another Great Show! Appreciate you! Looking forward to subShow! 🖤💀
