thomas hatch 8:23:10 PM
Less school shooters more whoopie pads!
Tim (host) 8:23:23 PM

thomas hatch 8:24:54 PM
Don’t have any kids of my own but if I did they’d be out there getting in trouble for no reason
thomas hatch 8:29:34 PM
And that’s the way it should be (yelling at clouds)
Tim (host) 8:31:28 PM
agreed - i thin your psot oof less shooters and more whoopie cushions was onthe mark!!!
thomas hatch 8:31:30 PM
Yes! missing persons! Going to see Terry Bozxio with Adrian Belen’s new King Crimson project
Tim (host) 8:31:53 PM

Rob from Maryland 🦀 8:32:40 PM
Evening everyone!
thomas hatch 8:32:58 PM
Pretty bland drumming too but he can really play! I mean he was in Zappa’s band
thomas hatch 8:33:43 PM
Hey Rob from MD. I’m from those parts myself
Rob from Maryland 🦀 8:35:54 PM
Howdy thomas! Where are you now?
thomas hatch 8:37:25 PM
In middle school I would take the fire extinguisher and run down the hall leaving a trail of fire retardant spraying behind me. Good times
Tim (host) 8:37:30 PM
hey rob
thomas hatch 8:37:55 PM
@rob I’m in south jersey now
Tim (host) 8:38:08 PM
nice!-- im trying to think of some other things -- like the dude who kept a bong in his giant buick 50 foot oldsmobile
Tim (host) 8:38:22 PM
under the hood
thomas hatch 8:39:24 PM
We used to make bongs out of mason jars because they were harder to come by in those days
thomas hatch 8:40:28 PM
If we’re keeping it 70’s hard rock can we do Taste or Rory Gallagher?
thomas hatch 8:40:42 PM
Or some Budgie?
Tim (host) 8:42:53 PM
sure i could play some tast what do youwant to hear
thomas hatch 8:43:41 PM
Can’t remember names of songs. It’s all good though
Tim (host) 8:43:59 PM
ok ill try and find a taste song in bit
thomas hatch 8:45:35 PM
Maybe What’s going On
Tim (host) 8:46:13 PM
ok sounds good -- ill look for it
Rob from Maryland 🦀 8:47:13 PM
@thomas, south jersey is a good place. @Tim, hey
thomas hatch 8:48:21 PM
South jersey is a great place. Let’s you know why we’re called the garden state
thomas hatch 8:50:18 PM
I knew a guy from Nottingham too. He loved Free and was amazed how much Americans loved Led Zeppelin
TAndy 8:50:21 PM
We love bong stories in this chat
Tim (host) 8:52:46 PM

Thomas S. Buss 8:53:15 PM
Cow tipping.
thomas hatch 8:53:31 PM
Remember gravity bongs? In the tub of water. We were hydrodynamic engineers with some we made out of tightly sleeved pvc pipe.
thomas hatch 8:54:30 PM
I hear of people talk about cow tipping but nobody that’s ever successfully done it
thomas hatch 8:55:19 PM
@tim England like Robin Hood land
Tim (host) 8:55:39 PM
ahhh i see
Tim (host) 8:55:56 PM
oh yeah that was a high schoolt hing...
TAndy 8:58:39 PM
In my time in high school all the stoners either made do with pens or the fabric softener over a tube of paper towels trick
TAndy 8:59:11 PM
I say my time as if 15 to 19 years ago was such a long time ago
Tim (host) 8:59:11 PM
..wasnt apples a thing to...
TAndy 8:59:25 PM
I knew somebody who tried the Apple thing lol
TAndy 8:59:43 PM
I didn't start until much later when personal vaporizers were already a thing
thomas hatch 9:00:06 PM
Paper towel was to hide the smell on exhale yeah!
thomas hatch 9:01:00 PM
Done the apple for sure. And lots of beer cans but that was just bowls not bongs
thomas hatch 9:01:43 PM
I’m more Tim’s age
TAndy 9:02:47 PM
I did hot knives before and that hits really harsh lol
thomas hatch 9:02:51 PM
Times were tough we’d spend all week trying to to find weed. Now you just go to the store. Or have it delivered LOL!
thomas hatch 9:03:16 PM
Hot knives yes!
TAndy 9:04:04 PM
My first time I actually had to beg my sister to get one of her friends to drop some off for me. Had to pay a finder's fee for some real smelly skunk. My first time I had a panic attack waiting for my Ellios Pizza to heat up LOL
thomas hatch 9:04:27 PM
Smoking court with the hacky sack
thomas hatch 9:06:19 PM
You kids were spoiled. We had to smoke the crappy Mexican brick weed with seeds all through it( fist in the air yelling at clouds)
TAndy 9:06:57 PM
My god. My mom wasn't much of a smoker but she did tell me about that too
Tim (host) 9:07:01 PM
oh yeah the hacky sack smoking court deal
Tim (host) 9:07:23 PM
@ tandy - yep had an area for kids to smoke late sevites and eighties
thomas hatch 9:07:42 PM
Dan Deacon from Baltimore right Rob!
TAndy 9:07:45 PM
I bet it still hit better than the new stuff. Ive even noticed that in the past few years it's gotten stronger but it just doesn't feel the same. Too much focus on THC while all the other cannabinoids are left on the sideline.
Thomas S. Buss 9:07:51 PM
Leslie at West Nottingham. Rumor has it, she called Tim -Zoid-.
Tim (host) 9:08:12 PM
oh yeah -- i forgot the knickname-- will have to mention
TAndy 9:08:18 PM
@Tim my high school had a little courtyard that was a smoking area, the teachers LOVED to tell us about that. Unfortunately the courtyard was closed for whatever reason when I went.
Tim (host) 9:08:54 PM
some kid was dealing weed in the smoking area and a teqacher was looking out the window and busted him
Tim (host) 9:09:05 PM
i remamber that -- its all coming back to me
thomas hatch 9:10:39 PM
That’s when a dime bag was a dime bag
thomas hatch 9:13:01 PM
From proggy to hard blues and back again
Tim (host) 9:16:28 PM
sure why not
thomas hatch 9:17:31 PM
Yeah guess that’s not too uncommon really
Tim (host) 9:18:03 PM
the good thing about free form radio
thomas hatch 9:18:46 PM
Absolutely never know what’s coming
thomas hatch 9:19:45 PM

Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:20:41 PM
Michael Quatro is Suzi's brother
Tim (host) 9:21:06 PM
way diffrent musical styles-i think he is way better-
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:21:19 PM
Speaking of whom, I see your Suzi photo is gone
Tim (host) 9:21:55 PM
yeah - we cant do that with pictures-- had some issues
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:23:17 PM
Too bad. I was starting to wonder if she'd had 48 crashes, or gone down to Devil Gate Drive, or something
David Shortell 9:23:53 PM
Did the Blackberries sing on that Humble Pie track?
Tim (host) 9:24:01 PM
a suzi fan i see...
Tim (host) 9:24:19 PM
nope that was pre blackberries- fillmore east 1971
Thomas S. Buss 9:24:30 PM
Tim needs to say, "Take it easy but take it" tonight and play a Carpenters song.
Tim (host) 9:24:52 PM
earl bailey reference nice...
David Shortell 9:25:37 PM
I was always more smitten with Suzi and Michael's niece.
Tim (host) 9:26:05 PM

Tim (host) 9:26:18 PM

thomas hatch 9:26:48 PM
The malachi crunch!
Tim (host) 9:27:18 PM
ooh man-- i forgot about that
Tim (host) 9:27:27 PM
the wierd things your remmeber
thomas hatch 9:27:32 PM
Lenny and the Squigtones were pretty awesome
thomas hatch 9:28:14 PM
Wasn’t it Pinky Tuscadero? I watched way to much television
Tim (host) 9:28:46 PM

Tim (host) 9:29:39 PM
it was leather tuscadero
Tim (host) 9:29:49 PM
another mystery solved
thomas hatch 9:30:32 PM
Huh, wel I remember she fell victim to the malachi crunch at the demolition derby
Tim (host) 9:30:48 PM
the drama of happy days
Tim (host) 9:30:59 PM

David Shortell 9:30:59 PM
The niece I referred to is Sherilyn Fenn. Her mother is the Pleasure Seekers keyboardist Patti Quatro.
Tim (host) 9:31:37 PM
oh... yeah ive hear them i thought suzi was in that band
thomas hatch 9:31:51 PM
The show where jump the shark came from
Tim (host) 9:32:19 PM
oh right - i think i was oof the happy days train by that point
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:35:04 PM
Suzi Quatro and sisters were indeed in the Pleasure Seekers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pleasure_Seekers_(band)
Tim (host) 9:41:32 PM
thanks rob--
David Shortell 9:42:06 PM
I must correct myself. It was actually Arlene Quatro who played keyboards and is Sherilyn's mom. Patti Quatro was the lead guitarist. Suzi Quatro sang. When the Pleasure Seekers became Cradle, Nancy Quatro joined them.
Tim (host) 9:44:39 PM
aha - Ill have to find out more about the pleasure seekers - they look pretty cool from the internet
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:44:47 PM
That Mort Garson piece was very amusing
Tim (host) 9:45:01 PM
yeah its. a whole concept album --
Tim (host) 9:45:27 PM
from 1967
David Shortell 9:45:48 PM
The 90's band Tuscadero named themselves after Suzi's character on "Happy Days". Their song "Leather Idol" is about her.
Tim (host) 9:46:10 PM
ok that sounds like a smart aleckly band that i would like - will have to check out
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:46:25 PM
I'm reading about the Garson album :-)
Tim (host) 9:47:16 PM
feel free to shar eany factss if you so desire
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:49:18 PM
My favorite Tuscadero song is "Nancy Drew", about the singer's mother throwing out all her Nancy Drew books and other childhood objects/memorabilia. The first time I heard it I stopped what I was doing and listened intently, as it resonated a lot
Tim (host) 9:50:01 PM
@ rob I must find that
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:51:08 PM
@Tim, it's on their "The Pink Album" https://www.discogs.com/master/298600-Tuscadero-The-Pink-Album
Billy O'Damit 9:51:30 PM
yeah, hippy music
Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:51:55 PM
and it's also the b side of the Mt. Pleasant single https://www.discogs.com/master/1205279-Tuscadero-Mt-Pleasant-Nancy-Drew
Tim (host) 9:52:04 PM

Rob from Maryland 🦀 9:52:07 PM
(And I have both of them)
Tim (host) 9:52:18 PM
@ billy it will cure what ails ya
Tim (host) 9:58:11 PM
@ rob vinlyl copies?
Rob from Maryland 🦀 10:03:58 PM
@Tim, I think both are? I haven't played either one in ages. I got them in the 90s when the band was together
David Shortell 10:12:28 PM
I recently watched the 1983 movie "The Hunger". It featured the singers of Clear Light, Bauhaus, Pulsallama and the Hype!
Tim (host) 10:13:31 PM
waaws it any good
David Shortell 10:14:37 PM
I'll watch almost anything with Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon in it!
Tim (host) 10:15:45 PM
ill agree to that
michael gudgeon 10:17:08 PM
sick song
Tim (host) 10:18:38 PM
yeah - im going to try more of her - later if i can really good album
David Shortell 10:22:14 PM
I was fascinated in a similar way with a film shown on TCM today. "Hell Drivers" (1957) had actors who would become famous playing superspies in the 60's: Patrick McGoohan, David McCallum and Sean Connery. That's right—John Drake, Illya Kuryakin and James Bond all in the same movie!
Tim (host) 10:25:28 PM
that sounds interesting too... anybody ever see the sterile cuckoo with liza minellia - its one of thoise wierd moviews once you start watching it you cant stop
G Jax 10:29:35 PM
Catchin the show very sporadically. Diggin the notes from '82. My year too. Similarities......
Tim (host) 10:31:41 PM
hey g jax- iglad your liking it
G Jax 10:31:46 PM
Lookin back at the chat..damn BONG TALK!!!
Tim (host) 10:32:08 PM
yep you missed the new wprb talk show... bong talk
G Jax 10:33:58 PM
One thing you sai just before I went in the restaurant. When the world was new waved out you and your bud were into Humble Pie and Free. For me it was Deep Purple. Aside for me an the guys in my band. NOBODY cared about Deep Purple in 81-82
Tim (host) 10:35:59 PM
yeah -- we had the exact same thing -
Tim (host) 10:36:14 PM
i dont know why buut that was the case
G Jax 10:36:29 PM
Don't believe I've ever heard Mr Big on the radio, let alone the live version. Well done. Paul Kossoff still blows my mind
Tim (host) 10:38:22 PM
yeah my buddy requested it for old time sake
Tim (host) 10:38:31 PM
i havent listened to it in a while
Rob from Maryland 🦀 10:38:42 PM
Great show tonight, Tim. We loved this last half hour, thx!
Tim (host) 10:39:17 PM
thanks rob - glad your out ther listening - always good to here -
G Jax 10:41:00 PM
The thing about bands like Free, Humble Pie, Deep Purple is you might hear one or two song by each on lame Ray Koob-ish classic rock radio but those band had tons of great stuff. I still listen to Free and Humble Pie. Deep Purple not so much.
Tim (host) 10:41:50 PM
yeah purple early stuff is interesting to they did an album with i think royal philharmonic and another one called gedmini suite
G Jax 10:44:20 PM
Yeah I loved all that stuff back then. I loved every version of that band. The funny thing is me and my buds were so into them and we thought ahh, they'l never reform. And they did. I kinda wish they didn't haha. I dunno. I just wan't into it
Tim (host) 10:46:14 PM
yeah old bands refroing is aleays a bad idea -
Tim (host) 10:46:28 PM
im not iinto the old guy reuion tours for anybody
G Jax 10:47:54 PM
Oh no neither am I. But when they reformed they were still young - thought they seemed old. Mid 80's I guess? Perfect Strangers. And it was a hit of sorts. But eh...not for me.
TAndy 10:49:48 PM
Thanks for the show Tim!
Tim (host) 10:49:52 PM
yeah - they reqally wernt that old then - i didint think it was too bad -- but then the later reeoin and tour were ugh
Tim (host) 10:50:03 PM
jey tandy - thanks for hangin out
G Jax 10:51:06 PM
I just watched some of the ACDC concert on Youtube from last week that for some reason my bro-in-law paid a fortune to see. I don't get that at all. Angus still rips but eh..Brian Johnson can't sing his own stuff anymore but he did ok on the Bon Scott stuff. Look at old video of them live I don't know how that dude sang like that for complet tours. No wonder his voice is shredded
Richard of Rocky Hill 10:51:11 PM
@Tim (host) Thanks for great subbing and spinning tonite
Tim (host) 10:52:13 PM
hey richard - really thanks for listening - thank for hangin out
Tim (host) 10:52:55 PM
@ g jax - i couldnt agree more - it the fleece the suckers tour -its kinda sad
Tim (host) 10:53:16 PM
and they look kinda silly the rockin grandpas
G Jax 10:54:46 PM
But hey I saw Tom Jones last week. 86 and absolutely kickin ass.
Tim (host) 10:55:46 PM
exception to the rule
G Jax 10:55:48 PM
He don't move much anymore but his voice is flawless
Tim (host) 10:56:24 PM
yeah there a slight few i have seen late in the gme that were still good -- but man the majority its jsut sad
G Jax 10:57:28 PM
Punk, heavy metal and any kind of hard rock in general don't age well
Tim (host) 10:58:23 PM
yuo - ok im out cya thanks again fer listening
G Jax 10:58:48 PM
Later Tim. Thanks........
