Drunk dives into the $1 records was a fav at Prex back when I was hitting the rec stores regularly. A plus/challenge was doing a show w/tracks from said records.

Oh hell yeah, the dollar bins were the real deal. Especially when all the classic rock jerkoffs were dumping their vinyl in the late 80s/early 90s to replace 'em with CDs.

To say nothing of all the weird lounge records and just random cultural detritus to be found by the more lionhearted among us.

I've been thinking that when you try to explain the 90s to a younger person, the fashionability of weirdness actually made everyone weird paranoid. It wasn't really more fun.
