Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:06:35 PM
Rick, Patrick recently went to the Charlie Parker Jazz festival which he does annually. Impressive!
Brian D 12:06:47 PM
Just today's 12pm. When I try the usual main link for the chat right now it defaults to Esoterica
rick hallahan 12:06:53 PM
Yeah, Patrick, that was quite hard to stomach.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:07:09 PM

Patrick White 12:35:32 PM
After he announced I switched to that chucklehead Imus who actually did a good job with coverage.
rick hallahan 12:35:39 PM
Jerry, such an appropriate tune on this day.
Patrick White 12:36:16 PM
His sports guy Warner Wolf lived right there and gave heart wrenching play by play of the events.
rick hallahan 12:39:01 PM
I remember driving home from work that day (JPMorgan Chase closed all operations around 1 p.m. that day). Driving north on Rt. 309 was eerily quiet - almost no cars on the road.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:40:08 PM
Yep, a terrible day.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:40:46 PM
Not to be petty, but...How was the volume on my mic?
rick hallahan 12:41:27 PM
This is THE killer version of "America the Beautiful".
rick hallahan 12:42:18 PM

Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:11:49 PM
ET, that reminds me of the Cheech and Chong movie scene where they are so high they didn't realize they were parked on the equivalent of the Expressway
Mike Constantine 1:13:06 PM
Any other way into the play list brought up Sonic Bloom. The playlist was as if her show was on with songs beeing added

Elias Throckmorton 1:21:37 PM
If I find brisket in the bin, at 50% off, I will cook it into the next century. Then add the potent green liquor. While reciting Foucault in backwards trance en Francais.
Mike Constantine 1:22:57 PM
A friend of mine get Absinthe every once in a while from I think Belarus. It's a very interesting high
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:25:36 PM
You two know how to host a proper party

It made the last Eagles superbowl very interesting
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:30:09 PM
Ha, Absinthe! I think I've lost enough brain cells, however
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:30:34 PM

Mel Torme, star of Night Court
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:45:24 PM
The people in this chat are the greatest!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:46:16 PM

rick hallahan 1:46:34 PM
Nice!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:47:38 PM
Nothing is better than that except a Mike Constantine party
Brian D 1:48:12 PM
I once heard Alice Cooper on a radio interview sing a really bad song parody titled Stairway to Heatherton . I really hate the placement of the (SEND) button on phones man o man. Just not user friendly at all.
rick hallahan 1:48:15 PM
It's time to honk!
Mike Constantine 1:48:33 PM
Ha!
Patrick White 1:50:25 PM
Jerry the Larry Fine mural still exists. A taco bar took over but kept the mural .
Mike Constantine 1:51:23 PM

Elias Throckmorton 2:07:46 PM
BRETT She... she’s buying a stairway to heaven! JULES (Slamming his hand on the table) And when she gets there, she knows if the stores are all closed, with a word she can get what she came for! GROUCHO (To Chico) I didn’t hear anything. CHICO Well, that’s because he didn’t say anything. Did you hear anything yet? GROUCHO I don’t a think so. But if she’s buying a stairway, I hope she gets it wholesale. Personally, I prefer an elevator. It has more ups and downs, like my first marriage. T
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:08:29 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if you had been there, Patrick
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:09:45 PM
Haha, ET. Do you keep that dialogue by your pohone or have you memorized it and place in words as necessary
Elias Throckmorton 2:11:39 PM
I did a mix of Stairway to heaven, the famous Samuel L Jackson scene, from Pulp Fiction and the Marx Bros.
Brian D 2:12:44 PM
It's Your Thing: the bass line that separates the pros from the beginners. Many think that the main part on bass is just 3 notes but that's the lead guitar actually. The bass part is a bit more involved. Gotta hear in headphones or hear it isolated. There are more notes than meet the ear. Great part, great track, great players.
Mike Constantine 2:13:33 PM
My Mother bought me this single out of the blue....never figured out why
DJ Esoterica 2:14:07 PM
Love this.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:14:13 PM
Thanks, Brian. We have coming up a track with totally revolutionary life-changing bass also

Patrick White 2:17:52 PM
ESO little mixup today you almost had your chad invaded by a coterie of Alter Kochers.
Mike Constantine 2:18:18 PM
It was odd, I wouldn't be listening to Stevie until Innervisions
Elias Throckmorton 2:21:25 PM
I spoke with Anita once. She played Inner Visions. Claimed she heard the left hand volume dial clicking to off as the cars rolled down the Boulevard.
DJ Esoterica 2:23:16 PM
hey Patrick, I saw that mix up referenced in the chat. Obvs got fixed:)
Mike Constantine 2:24:30 PM

Brian D 2:50:38 PM
It was awful polite of James Brown to always ask Bobby Byrd's permission to: a) Count it off, b) take it to the bridge etc
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:50:48 PM
