I have heckled tons of bands but always do it with love and humor. Ween handled heckling really well. Buzzoven was heckled brutally back in the day. It was bad for them. Shellac were pros at handling heckling.

For those who are following my now weekly watch-along with films screened for my kid in college: Last week was Y Tu Mama Tambien and this week is Speed Racer. I swore I had seen the former but I very much had not!

Was just watching old Speed Racer episodes. Came away thinking 'well these are cartoonish characters'. D'oh!

Got a text tonight that simply read "I love Speed Racer dude."

What did she think of YTMT?

I think it was a level of graphic she was not girded for. But she loved the side characters they encountered and how the narration told you thinks about what would someday happen to them.

Yeah, it’s not something I’d watch with a parent, but I’ve always loved it and the ending haunted me.

The audio ducking before the narration was very cool, I thought.

I also watched a short called "Outer Space" that was BONKERS but pretty enthralling. Of course the only other person who had logged it on Letterboxed was our mutual friend Ryan.

Cuarón is so incredible, that and CHILDREN OF MEN are picks for films of the century.

Had to look up audio ducking. This show now qualifies as educational.
