Hello everyone
Rob from Maryland 🦀 3:07:09 PM
Hello DebbieWebby! We liked the Isis song
DebbieWebby (host) 3:08:53 PM
Hello Rob and others!! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Rofflelectic 3:08:55 PM
Heya Debby, the airwave have been webonized. :)
DebbieWebby (host) 3:09:53 PM
Hi Rofflelectic! You know me, just webbin it up!
DebbieWebby (host) 3:10:00 PM
:D
Rofflelectic 3:13:40 PM
I just saw my friendly neighborhood spider headed toward my spider plant by the window. Works for me. Spiders always get a pass around here. Not so much when I lived in Texas. :)
DebbieWebby (host) 3:14:53 PM
A spider in a spider plant. Aw! Make a kid's book about that cuteness. I agree. I keep the spiders they help me with the other bugs. I hear ya though.. our PA/NJ spiders won't kill you
DebbieWebby (host) 3:16:21 PM
I've been seeing a lot of cute cartoons about jumping spiders online lately. They are pretty adorable little guys.
Rofflelectic 3:20:18 PM
Fell free to run with your book concept. If I wrote a children's book, it would turn into an epic horror novella in short order, putting the Brother's Grimm to sham as light weights. But yes, they are the bug police, and I respect their athorata.
DebbieWebby (host) 3:21:03 PM
Roffle.... you are sitting on BILLIONS! you know people love their horror more now then ever. Write! Write!
Rofflelectic 3:21:53 PM
:)
DebbieWebby (host) 3:22:25 PM
and then the adorable jumping spider.... ripped out his eyeballs.... AND THEN
DebbieWebby (host) 3:23:01 PM
All the children wlll dress up as the spider for Halloween. It will be great.
Rofflelectic 3:23:02 PM
The feast began...
DebbieWebby (host) 3:23:20 PM
I am already hooked
Rofflelectic 3:23:43 PM
I love your mode...
DebbieWebby (host) 3:24:18 PM
Making classics while making millions
DebbieWebby (host) 3:24:24 PM
LFG
DebbieWebby (host) 3:24:30 PM
haha jk
Rofflelectic 3:25:56 PM
Your neighbors Halloween webs on the tree are not what you think they are. anymore. Kidstuff takes on a whole new meaning. lol
DebbieWebby (host) 3:27:54 PM
Ha! Perfect! It makes me think of the classic show/books, Goosebumps.
Rofflelectic 3:33:16 PM
That was great kid stuff. I love the that older kids get it intuitively and like the ride. Spooky is cool. But that was still on the rails at least.
Rofflelectic 3:34:04 PM
There is a fine line of things.
DebbieWebby (host) 3:36:29 PM
so your book will be going off the rails. very nice. needs to be done.
Rofflelectic 3:37:14 PM
Doom metal is rather inspirational. Whatever dopey else I might say today, I'm sticking with that. :)
DebbieWebby (host) 3:37:25 PM
teach kids not to harm them because if they do they (and their relatives) will seek revenge.
DebbieWebby (host) 3:37:46 PM
HAHA! I welcome it.
Rofflelectic 3:38:37 PM
It's our book now. I just daydream. But Shelob is back baby!
DebbieWebby (host) 3:40:37 PM
I just googled Shelob. That is something else. Not a wittle fluffy jumping spider.
Rofflelectic 3:41:37 PM
Tolkien did a cool thing with spiders for sure.
Rofflelectic 3:42:44 PM
Ungoliant was the boss
Zeke Bartolone 3:43:06 PM
loving the set. much love
DebbieWebby (host) 3:43:46 PM
Hey Zeke!
Rofflelectic 3:44:07 PM
Me too Zeke. I love the tension , release here.
DebbieWebby (host) 3:44:46 PM
I need to finally watch the Lord of the Rings. Its about time. Just for the spider guy.
Rofflelectic 3:45:03 PM
LOL!
Rofflelectic 3:46:00 PM
You should read it first, but... open your calendar way up.
Rofflelectic 3:46:29 PM
The movies are cool though.
DebbieWebby (host) 3:47:02 PM
I will dedicated my 2026, 2027 and 2028 to reading those books THEN movie time :)
Rofflelectic 3:47:04 PM
That's another binge!
Rofflelectic 3:47:52 PM
Wow! That would be next level binge!
DebbieWebby (host) 3:49:24 PM
I really should just start reading it. Tune out the whole world for a while.
Rofflelectic 3:49:56 PM
Good luck with that...
DebbieWebby (host) 3:50:12 PM
nice knowing you
DebbieWebby (host) 3:50:18 PM
LOL
Rofflelectic 3:50:56 PM
They just keep turning up the volume when you think your out of it.
DebbieWebby (host) 3:51:34 PM
truth!
Mike Tropiano 4:24:59 PM
Not a jealous person, but I envy anyone who hasn't read Lord of the Rings.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:25:49 PM
LMAO! Well Hello Mike!
Mike Tropiano 4:27:00 PM
Hi Debby....been busy at work...just tuned in.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:27:04 PM
your fave or you hate it?
DebbieWebby (host) 4:27:20 PM
good to see you. darn work getting in the way.
Rofflelectic 4:27:38 PM
It does look better that way Mike.
Rofflelectic 4:28:55 PM
The Amazon thing is unsufferable! I Loved the Silmarillion!
Mike Tropiano 4:29:08 PM
LOVE LOTR! Wish I could read it for the first time, again.
Mike Tropiano 4:29:36 PM
and The Silmarillion.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:29:48 PM
gotcha... wasn't sure at first.
Mike Tropiano 4:30:11 PM
I do like the movie, but not as much as the books.
Mike Tropiano 4:30:30 PM
You're in for a treat.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:31:23 PM
I came in with no intentions of reading LOTR and now I am a changed woman.
Mike Tropiano 4:32:08 PM
I'llbet you've read the Twilight books?
DebbieWebby (host) 4:32:56 PM
nope. That got big i think once I got out of high school. I did see the first movie though.
Rofflelectic 4:33:38 PM
Shield Maiden! Welcome!
Mike Tropiano 4:35:14 PM
I've told young people who've read Twilight (mostly young ladies) that LOTR is for boys what Twilight was like, when it was very popular among young ladies. I haven't read Twilight though.
Rofflelectic 4:35:29 PM
Twilight was a bridge too far with the genre for me.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:36:09 PM
I am pumped to read it.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:36:36 PM
Twilight was HUGE...and I remember the LOTR movie being the biggest thing EVER.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:36:45 PM
I am never up with the trends.
Rofflelectic 4:37:48 PM
I would say also The Hobbit is worthy, but it cames from a different angle.
Mike Tropiano 4:38:18 PM
The music that we enjoy on PRB marks us as untrendy, I think.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:39:03 PM
I remember The Hobbit. it was turned into a movie right?
Rofflelectic 4:39:18 PM
Untrendy! Ilike that!
DebbieWebby (host) 4:39:34 PM
Well said Mike. My playlist clearly shows I have never been trendy. O WELL!
Mike Tropiano 4:40:05 PM
When I was in high school, we were assigned to read The Hobbit one summer. When we returned in the fall, everyone had read LOTR too. Since that's the order I met Middle Earth, I think it's the way to go.
Mike Tropiano 4:40:49 PM
And popular music gets worse and worse. We should be proud to be outliers.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:40:57 PM
In highschool, the first Harry Potter book was on the list so I read that... good stuff.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:41:32 PM
I will keep the order in mind. I think I might start movies first then Hobbit book then LOTR.
Mike Tropiano 4:42:04 PM
I haven't toured Hogwarts, but I have watched dome of the movies with my neices.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:42:39 PM
Yeah when I was in highschool, the popular stuff was NOT doing it for me so I got into metal bands from Europe. You gotta do what gotta do.
Mike Tropiano 4:43:11 PM
I'd read he Silmarillion after LOTR. It's more like a history book than a novel.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:43:38 PM
I did not enjoy school reading lists at all. BUT Harry Potter made me LOL while reading soo just saying,
Rofflelectic 4:44:10 PM
The Hobbit movie addresses the LOTR way more than the book. But once you read them together it just works and the Appendixes are a whole new journey.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:44:10 PM
there is another book? wow. my life will be very busy.
Mike Tropiano 4:44:29 PM
Same here with me. Except there seemed to be a higher percentage of "outlier" types in my school. LOTS of nerds (I'm a card carrying memeber).
Mike Tropiano 4:45:12 PM
Oh Debbie, once you start down the LOTR hole, you'll find it's almost unending.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:45:14 PM
Good for you. Sounds like a good school and class.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:45:39 PM
Plans for the rest of my life - CHECK
Mike Tropiano 4:46:31 PM
Tolkien's son (who died not too long ago) cobbled together his father's writings to produce a lot of other books. I mean lots! I've only read a few of these.
DebbieWebby (host) 4:47:03 PM
That's awesome for the fans.
Mike Tropiano 4:47:06 PM
It was a good school. I enjoyed it. I would have hated the "neighborhood" high school.
Rofflelectic 4:47:22 PM
The Appendices are in the end of the last LOTR books.
Mike Tropiano 4:48:03 PM
True Roffle, they're kind of like The Silmarillion.
Rofflelectic 4:49:11 PM
@Mike, I am damn near an LOTR scholar at this point. LOL Rabbit hole indeed!
DebbieWebby (host) 4:51:35 PM
Good to know, Roffle
DebbieWebby (host) 4:52:34 PM
Well this has been awesome. Thanks for hanging out and all the info on LOTR!
DebbieWebby (host) 4:52:44 PM
I have to head out soon! have a great night!
DebbieWebby (host) 4:52:52 PM
bye Roffle!
DebbieWebby (host) 4:53:02 PM
bye Mike!!
Rofflelectic 4:53:54 PM
Hey Deb Web, thanks for the fun chat and music that just fits sometimes. But it just fits today. Much appreciated on this stormy day. Be well. CU there
Mike Tropiano 4:54:11 PM
It's about time I reread LOTR, Roffle.
Mike Tropiano 4:54:54 PM
Thank you Debbie, and Roffle. Hope you're back again soon Debbie. Stay Well!
DebbieWebby (host) 4:55:46 PM
Take care :D
Rofflelectic 4:58:37 PM
@Mike, I left my copies in WA when I left. It's time to buy another set.. :)
