Amy Lee 12:12:03 PM
Hello - ready to rock!
John Tobias (host) 12:12:21 PM
cool.same.
Rofflelectic 12:14:08 PM
Hiya! It's after noon, let the games begin.
John Tobias (host) 12:14:34 PM
That's the plan, Roff
Rofflelectic 12:15:23 PM
Titus Andronicus at the park works for me. That sounds interesting.
John Tobias (host) 12:15:39 PM
It's free, too. Added bonus.
Rofflelectic 12:17:28 PM
Unlike Johnny Brenda's. A few blocks from my house, but miles away from my wallet on a regular basis.
Rofflelectic 12:18:18 PM
Free definitely sweetens the deal.
Rofflelectic 12:19:16 PM
Not that they are over priced, just can't keep up with it all.
John Tobias (host) 12:19:30 PM
If I lived in Philly I would have no money and no hearing.
Rofflelectic 12:20:22 PM
Solid point. I hear ya thru the ringing in my ears.

Richard of Rocky Hill 1:07:06 PM
@ John Tobias (host) Yikes, indeed! As Queen declared for all time in Bohemian Rhapsody, "Thunderbolt and lightning / Very very frightening!"
Richard of Rocky Hill 1:08:20 PM
I hope The Barge serves you more like a bunker this afternoon ... :-0
John Tobias (host) 1:08:43 PM
so far so good.
Richard of Rocky Hill 1:21:22 PM
@John Tobias (host) Thanks for The Doors' "My Eyes Have Seen You" from Strange Days, IMHO one of _the_ greatest rock albums of the Sixties and maybe of all time. Good point about them using bass players in the studio. But for a real ear opener, check out their live recordings from this era. Ray Manzarek created a serious foundation with his Fender Rhodes Piano Bass keyboard. In fact, the Doors produced a truly formidable sound despite being basically just an instrumental trio.
John Tobias (host) 1:22:22 PM
Thanks Richard. I'm pretty aware of Ray. He is a great story teller.
Carlos Ramone 1:50:18 PM
Driving while listening..Iguana Death Cult, third time this week..thanks
John Tobias (host) 1:51:51 PM
nice
Richard of Rocky Hill 2:04:34 PM
@ John Tobias (host) I don't think the thunderstorm has me hallucinating that you played a fab, dramatic, kinda shoe-gazey cover of JJ Cale's "They Call Me the Breeze." But I can't seem to find it on the playlist ...
John Tobias (host) 2:05:33 PM
sounds like I should have gone with that...maybe the next storm. It's kinda clearing up a bit.
Rob from Maryland 🦀 2:13:16 PM
I just paid some bills, so money is all I need
Rob from Maryland 🦀 2:13:28 PM

John Tobias (host) 2:14:56 PM

Rob from Maryland 🦀 2:25:16 PM
Indeed. And it's possible I will acquire new residue shortly, a cheap thrill in the coming days
John Tobias (host) 2:25:51 PM
hope it works out
Rob from Maryland 🦀 2:27:05 PM
It'll be dandy if it does
John Tobias (host) 2:29:18 PM
mentioned on air

Michelle Brownlee 2:33:50 PM
I thought you said "Yao Ming" before - I was like "Whaaat?? The basketball player is in a band??" 🤣
John Tobias (host) 2:34:58 PM
His hands are probably too big to play guitar...maybe he can sing. I prefer Yea-Ming.
John Tobias (host) 2:35:54 PM
Enunciation is not my strong point...worse than my spelling.
Richard of Rocky Hill 2:36:53 PM
Could you tell me who did "The Breeze" cover? i loved it but missed what you said about it on air. Thanks!
John Tobias (host) 2:37:46 PM
Unsure who played the version you heard.
Rofflelectic 2:39:51 PM
I know some guys who could make him a big guitar. :)
John Tobias (host) 2:41:43 PM
I'll pass it on.
Richard of Rocky Hill 2:46:14 PM
Well, it was the version of "The Breeze" that blew thru your Playlist... you know I'm not unfaithful my 'PRB hosts . I'm totally Ti
Richard of Rocky Hill 2:46:57 PM
... Tobias during Totally Tobias! :-D
John Tobias (host) 2:47:34 PM
Maybe someone did a version under a different title...I'm unsure. Like Zep doing the Killing Floor as the Lemon Song.
Amy Lee 2:55:26 PM
This is so so good.
Amy Lee 2:56:38 PM
Thx for the great summer listening! Hope to hear when you sub!
John Tobias (host) 2:57:41 PM
Thanks Amy and the global masses.
