Michel Legrand (IMHO) was a genius. His music for the original Thomas Crown Affair is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

@Jerry, I was thinking about it, yep. It would mean getting up early but it would be worth it. Plus DJs Stitching Pink and Erin from 6 Layer Cake 🎂 will be there playing music.

That whole event sounds like alot of fun. If the weather is nice, it will be the perfect day!

I caught Howard Levy at Black squirrel in Philly this week. He played keys and harmonica with the Flecktones. Really nice show. He did a harmonica solo at the end that was astonishing.

Thanks for the good words. I will be figuring out more of a 'schedule' over time. Right now there is a lot o f grandkid energy and that's fun.

I am still listening - just not at the desk - I did figure out I can text from my phone...but probably shouldn't do that while driving ;-)

Black Squirrel is nifty venue but no AC... it was ok the other night but I imagine can get pretty warm.

@Rick - I spent the morning throwing rocks in the creek with a 1 1/2 year old. Slowing down the pace will take some learning...I did see live music Sunday, Tues, Wednesday, and Thursday night this week and seeing Magic tonight in Glenside. (The magic club there is really fun) I will do my best to keep this group of friends into my schedule whenever possible.

I had picked up a stack of the old wfil or WMCA top 50 handouts. Record stores that carried 45s and stores like Sears that had them would have a new one each week. It's quite interesting, Philadelphia was listening to a lot more soul music than New York was on ABC

You probably know the sheets I mean, it would list the top 50 in their previous position, with a bullet if expected to get hot...
