ELP. Mixed feelings about their music. Formative, but somehow lacking?

Hmmmmm I can agree in some aspects just because it's very classically based, which can sound pretty mundane at some points, but it's hard to deny a song like this has some fantastic moments

There's currently a Karn Evil 9 movie in production. I have no idea what to expect.

Chat - I'm curious. Pooling from a commercial radio format of classic rock etc, who are some of the mainstream bands/musicians that are considered a 'gateway' to prog - that opened the way for you?

@Amy Allman bros. But what is prog really?

@amy Lee I would say it is any music that changes over time, I personally love Genesis after Peter Gabriel left but Phil collins was new to singing (AKA before the pop years), Some of that is just catchy enough to be fun but not proggy enough to be annoying
