I suspect some of them are just thin bendable sheet metal bolted to a saw handle. The appearance of a saw without the sharp edges

I finally watched “The Trip” with Peter Fonda. The scene where he wanders into a laundromat, feeds a washing machine 25 cents, and stares into it, woman he meets there, is just about the only reason to watch it.
