Drat. Hadn't heard about James. I probably own 10 or 12 of his records. And I saw him twice.

I was talking to someone yesterday and they mentioned having wanted to go to your double feature last week but couldn't swing it. Neither could I, obviously. But seems like your flyers and all are working!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news.

Loved the double feature last week, thanks for mentioning it! Met some sweet Persian people who were stoked and said they'd bring all their friends next time. The films were amazing.

I'm sure, I was really trying to make it to that one but was still getting over being sick.

Was also the bearer of bad news telling to clerks there was a pay-per-view gladiator fight on the White House laws. They were completely in the dark and were waiting for the punchline....

Ha, guess it's slow today. But also saw UFC or the White House was claiming the match would have more viewers than the super bowl but I don't even know what day it happened.

You know when you get booed so bad at the NBA final that you flake on going to the world cup opener, sometimes you just have to throw your own party with millions in taxpayer's money. we've all been there.

It wasn't that long ago the "sport" was considered beyond the pale and states would not sanction it. I'm not sure I see putting on the People's House lawn as progress....

I saw the one where he opened for Denardo, Jamaaladeen and Prime Time. Wouldn't have recognized you then.

I saw Ornette Coleman at Bonnaroo like 20 years ago. It was over 100 degrees and he came out in a full suit and ended up passing out from heat stroke halfway through the set. I remember his son dropped his sticks on the drum to run over before anyone else noticed.

I usually wear a t-shirt with my name and picture on it to avoid such problems.

Every tune on that Brown/Roach record is an unforgettable classic, glad to have it on vinyl again!

Both Angine de Poitrine LPs were prominently displayed at the suburban NJ Target I visited this weekend while hunting for a new towel rack. Considerably cheaper than the new Olivia Rodrigo wax, too.
