I've been using DuckDuckGo since Google fired people for showing support for Palestine. It's pretty good but you do have to hit Google occasionally. You can disable AI searching but I'm sure there's some bullshit there.

If I want a wide search, sure Google is it. I am so sad at the passing of Ask Jeeves. T'was a fine lad.

I've been enjoying Eddy Current Supression Ring since you told me about them.

I've bought extra monitors at thrift stores to be MONITORS. I look at the chat in one when I listen or even just see whats going on. The KVM stuff is real cheap these days too. Our thrift stores are world class.

Good thinking. I think I might invest in one so I can chat and monitor the DJ program at the same time.

otoh Sweeping Promises' upcoming album has a track called "My Friend's An Entomologist" and another one called "Cocoon"

And Sweeping Promises are fantastic! Best band I saw at Gonerfest in 2023 and I can't wait to see them on tour this fall. I know Jon played their new song recently, probably some other DJs too.

Sweeping Promises are the best. I saw Caulfiled and Lira's pre-Sweeping Promises bands a million times when the they were living in Boston, but then I saw Sweeping Promises at Providence Pop Fest and was reminded of how insanely powerful Lira's voice is in person. It's almost like she doesn't even need a mic.

I never heard of the Monochrome Set when I saw them at the Saint in 2013. They had not been in the USA for over 30 years, according to this:

I saw them on that tour too. The show at the Record Collector in Bordentown. I think Randy from City Gardens booked it.

Before he left to found his own store/venue in Bordentown---now in Hightstown.

Haven't been to the Man Cave since I saw EXTC (the XTC cover band with Terry Chambers on drums) there maybe three years ago. Fun place to see a show.
