7:24 AM		Michel Madore Rush Le Komosu À Cordes Barclay 1976 Painter and musician born in Montreal, Canada in 1949. After graduating at Quebec University, he started to work in multimedia, arts and music. In 1975 he began two musical projects, one with a full band which resulted in the prog-fusion album "Le Komuso À Cordes", and a conceptual experimental work that eventually became "La Chambre Nuptiale". In 1981 he ceased musical activities and changed to painting and sculpting instead.

Their sound is strongly influenced by Gong.

Gong became pioneers of a new brand of psychedelia/space-rock/trip-rock - with a conceptual ethos involving aliens and alternative realities. They were an international outfit, increasingly linked to other bands of the Canterbury scene. "Camembert Electrique" is an early effort, recorded just prior to their classic "Radio Gnome Invisible" trilogy.

They partnered with Werner Herzog to provide soundtracks to several of his films. The band got its name from* "Popol Vuh"* which is a text recounting the mythology and history of the Kʼicheʼ people, one of the Maya peoples, who inhabit Guatemala and several Mexican states, as well as areas of Belize and Honduras.

9:02 AM		Hermann Szobel Between 7 & 11 Szobel Arista/Legacy 1976 Hermann Szobel was born in Vienna Austria in 1958. He produced and recorded this one jazz fusion album in New York in 1976, at the age of 17-18. (Being the nephew of rock promoted Bill Graham didn't hurt when trying to make contacts in the music industry.) A review in "Down Beat" magazine stated that Szobel had "a conception and technique far in advance of most musicians twice his age."Szobel disappeared from the music world after this album. He was allegedly last seen living homeless in Jerusalem.

9:30 AM		Hiromi XYZ Another Mind Telarc 2003 Hiromi Uehara (上原ひろみ) is a Japanese jazz composer and pianist. Born in 1979 in Hamamatsu. She is known for her virtuosic technique, energetic live performances and blend of musical genres such as jazz, progressive rock, classical and fusion. (And spectacular hairstyles.) She wrote commercial jingles in Japan for a few years, and then enrolled in the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she was mentored by Ahmad Jamal. This is her debut as a leader.
