WIBG was losing listeners to FM, so in '72 they had a free show outdoors with Leon Russell and Freddie King, who was on Leon's lable. Great show. WIBG died shortly afterwards.

Marcus I saw Leon at Duke Island Park in Somerset County about 15?yearsxsgo. He was ailing but did pretty good show.

Cruised in at 4:30pm Saturday at the PREX, just as the line ended apparently. Quickly grabbed the James Brandon Lewis String Quartet record, the new alabaster DePlume and the Don Cherry reissue, BLUE LAKE. This morning a flipped the whole RSD collection grabbed the Charles Tolliver debut on Strata East.

Record store Day was such a success they were limiting entry. I just told them I knew Dan BUSKIRK and they let me in.

PREX had Billy Squier event. Not really a fan of his genre but I always thought his hit songs were pretty good listening

That name has worked magic since the velvet rope at Studio 54....

Yeah, I spotted Billy while I shopped (down the block line to meet him. BS's tunes big hit in my high school dance days...

Twenty-five years? Big deal. I first heard Dan in 1990. I sent him a cassette of an old show.

Yeah, that was wild Marcus! Once I was reading spoken word pieces in San Francisco and a couple guys came up afterwards who remembered me from my Philly radio days....

Trust me. Dan's between song banter in 1990 was fun.
