Hey Jon - Albini sessions! I thought of you when I saw this one!

When I was an intern as a freshman in college where this was recorded I'd see those 2" reels in the archives room and wonder what they sounded like...

Amazing - apparently the band chose to shelve them - now we know...

The bootlegs I'd heard didn't sound as prime as this official release does. Get why they scrapped it but a fascinating and really enjoyable document to my ears.

Glad you love it, Jon - and so cool their proceeds go to Steve's Letters charity - I imagine you saw his blurb on Bandcamp - such a good guy-RIP

I think Sam and Peter were the only original Big Brother members in that line-up. I wrote the setlist on a napkin.

The opening act was a Jefferson Airplane cover band called Reverend Jefferson. I never heard from them again.

@Rob - want to share. 90% back to 'normal', but at the end of Nov, had a major stroke. In rehab, they have you focus on something you want to get back to (as a goal for movement). One of mine was birdwatching. Think it was the first time they had someone with binoculars just moving them up & down all the time...
