Donutage, I can speak from personal experience that the prep for colonoscopy is FAR BETTER than the early 2000s prep. I hope everything goes smoothly and you'll be done before you know it.

I get a test kit mailed to me that I can poop into and mail back. I think if that test shows something interesting then I have to actually get a colonoscopy (which I've never actually had). That said, good to know that the prep is better now than 25 years ago
