That's funny how the last couple times I visited SoCal it actually kind of looked like this for a couple of days. Except for the cold temperature is in the snow on the ground

The east coast weather has a kind of charm though with the roughness

This is great. I mostly know the older stuff. 2000s I was into the Seo Taiji emo nu-metal albums.

A lot of people know K-pop now but Seo Taiji was the absolute biggest deal back in the day. The early stuff is very dance/r&b then it turned into a metal band, then he came back and did electonica ballads. I've got every record.

I will definitely check them out! Sounds so cool, my parents probably also grew up listening to them

I have always hoped for an early K-pop revival cause the records seem to never get reissued. Very ahistorical genre. I like to get stuff on cd if I can.

Definitely agree Jim, do you have any favorite records that I should check out?

All I know is the central shore and toms river is gonna get HAMMERED. If I didn't have to worry about losing parking, I'd totally just hunker down in seaside and experience a shoreline blizzard since that hasn't happened in over 15 years!

A lot of it is streaming now but a lot just disappeared if you don't have the record.

Some other ones off the top of my head are Turbo, Young Turks Club, Sechskies, B.B., JYP... H.O.T.

Morning! Coming back from a road trip and was finally in range to tune in and w o w. Y2K Korean playlist hits hard. Bummed I came near the end of all this with SECHSKIES. Hope you guest host again in the future bibim and will definitely check out the previous artist I missed in this set!
