I have been clicked in. Happy to have you in my digiteria. I hope you are having a great show. I especially enjoy that you are bringing Jazz to WPRB, which has lost two of its four Jazz programs. We all miss the genius of Will Constantine Jr. I do not see you on the Spring station schedule. It is a bit hard to read. Do you have your own show and if so when is it. And do normally air Jazz? Thanks for today.

Thanks! I'm on Sundays from 7-9am. I dont do jazz exclusively but love playing it

I am noticing the "Latin Tinge". I hope you are aware of "Calle 54" the story of the history of Latin Jazz, with especially Jerry and Andy Gonzalez(?) and Checho Valdez and his father, Paquito Rivera and other celebrated specialists on the genre.

"Calle 54", available on DVD is an incredible primer in its exploration of Latin Jazz. You just mentioned Chano Dominguez (please forgive any spelling error). He is there, Toto Puente, I could go on and on. Will Constantine JR whe he was on WPRB reserved his third hour for Latin Jazz. For this he re-named himself "Rico Calamari". Anyway "Calle 54" prepared me for just about anything he put on the air. Especially on what is called "Side B", Chucho Valdez teaches all about four Jazz traditions.
Richard Mitnick 11:13:37 AM
Four traditions through "clave".
