Donutage, WPRB had an opportunity to move into a larger room in the building The Barge is housed in. I did not expect the new studio to get up and running as quickly as it did but I'm delighted. Went live on Friday night. Old studio will become a listening station / lounge.

Carlos Ramone - I used to really love the Khyber - love New Orleans anything - but I feel like maybe they've slipped a bit. They simplified their menu and in the process got rid of some of my fave things. still not bad though. decent brunch.

Not that I'm aware of. His version of Shaving Cream is the only recording that immediately comes to mind.

I did share a performance of his that was a Flipside outtake on Instagram.

Yeah I don’t see Withers. I ask because I know Albini was a fan of Withers and wrote venomous songs about being cheated on, so that makes me think he like that Withers song which is an excellent sly song on the topic. I can imagine it in the style of Shellac

I just remembered I saw his TV show on satellite in central Texas in the 80's. It was surreal for me.

Came here for the Uncle Floyd chat. When my family got cable when I was in h.s., it included Channel 68 so I watched it occasionally....

There are a few U68 music videos I chased for decades. Thankfully one of them was a song my friend Jodi knew immediately after I described it in vague terms.

Was driving earlier. I really liked the Shannon Wright track. And interesting to hear Sly recorded in Redwood City. I testified in support of affordable housing in front of the city council and county supervisors in that town many times when I lived in the Bay Area!
