i hate to have to say it, but zodiac is just as nonsensical pseudoscience as stuff like antivaxxers believe.

It's just hard to listen to this kind of stuff on a station for people that are generally intelligent and well-meaning, but there's this weird way that liberals give a pass to fictional made up mythologies like zodiac. It feels like back door entry point for believing in conspiracy theories and nonsense to me. It's just hard to listen to it presented as information.

re: indietronica ... one of my fav genre names !! cuz at first it seems like it'd be some overly broad post-hoc bullshit but actually I feel like the more of it I listen to the more I pick up on like an actual sound

Word, and I don't mean to be offensive, but I genuinely feel like the whole adopting zodiac as an actual thing with meeting is dangerous for a lot of people. It's Gateway pseudoscience.

Hey, I know, and I don't mean to be offensive, but I genuinely have started to realize that zodiac is just like, back door pseudoscience that leads to believing in mysticism and, in some cases, anti-scientific views.

Shrug. The way I see it If the stars are a gateway to pseudoscience then so are coin flips. Why spreadsheet everything? Let people find meaning where they choose to find meaning.

Plus, if you're inherently opposed to mysticism, then shouldn't your greater enemy be religion? Wars were fought over which country should the Pope be from. The power in astrology is vested in whatever lady writes the horoscope every week. I think there's a much much greater potential for abuse in the one than the other.
