Whew, I made it!

You know, Jon, you have been here forever, so you are a good person to tell my story. I was very involved in WPRB some years ago when we enjoyed Will Constantine Jr and a Jazz program on Sunday morning to go along with Dan Buskirk and Jerry Gordon. Then I left for quite a while and was involved with John Schaefer's "New Sounds" at what was WNYC2 and is now a full website standing on its own at New York Public Radio.

I was also involved with Stephen Hills "Music From the Hearts of Space from San Fransisco which was on Public Radio but is now a web based subscription service. I highly recommend both "New Sounds", now NYPR's WQXR; and "Hearts of Space" to which I have a paid subscription.

My wife's family was a big WQXR household. I donated many reels of opera recordings from their airwaves to their engineer several years ago.

But, now I have been back to WPRB for a few months and am very happy to be hear, although I could do without some of the music aired which reminds me of John Zorn's "Noise" genre. I will be here and a financial contributor for some time to come.

I for one am energized by snow.

The "super hacker" was Kevin Mitnick, jailed and not allowed near a computer for years, ultimately freed due to some great work of two people from WBAI's "Off the Hook" radio program. Kevin never stole even a nickel, just illegally utilized AT&T manuals he actually found in a garbage bin. He is no longer alive but was a very distant relative.

Wow. Very interesting. And I'm glad I didn't rub the wrong way with the reference.

I have a framed photo of Kevin hanging on the wall at my home. He was caught by great triangulation work of a Japanese computer genius.

It is a touch lunky at times but overall a very worthwhile watch that follows a familiar arc.

We have a term in my house called "randy-ing it" like when you plan to run 5K, but run 5 miles instead ... just because

Snow removal strategy for upcoming storm…once at 4pm Sunday, then again Monday morning!

I beat my goal by 35 seconds, only focused on maintenance after. I did go running the morning after I was on the radio for 29 straight hours!

Oops! I missed the word "time" - I thought we're talking mileage --- goal time is even more impressive !!! Proud of you

Thank you, sir. I did a six week training app that had me running 200s and 400s up and down my block like a lunatic. But...it worked.

GW, I suspect (and I am no expert) that the snow is going to roll in later than that.

On Sunday that is.

Though the basketball game I have tickets for has been moved up from 2 to noon (likely so the visitors can drive home safely).

My block is EXACTLY 1/4 mile, and has a slight tilt to the South, so it's a track workout + hill repeats
