I haven’t much to report from the live music endeavors. Im two months dry right now but the last show I went to was Death to All in Montreal and they played 2 hours I think, with a full set of Symbolic in there. That was one of the most electric shows I’ve ever been too. After a couple songs they made the tribute to Chuck and I’ve never been in a crowd that screamed so loud or so long. That man has been dead 20+ years and he HEARD that shit. Montreal has a SSSSSOLID scene of metalheads

28 Years Later was fantastic. Shockingly emotionally gripping. Bone Temple wasn’t as deep but just as awesome, those two directors make a good team.

I always admire luminaries getting down on the common level. Lightning Bolt did this in the early days, bands that would forego a stage for the floor.

I am happy 28DL has grown into something historically significant. "Punk" gets thrown around carelessly but there are punk filmmakers, like Joel Potrykus (Vulcanizadora, Buzzard, Relaxer, etc) who are making truly punk movies with next to no money. So that to me is true punk spirit.

Roofman was great. Very silly. And the fact that its true... it's nuts. It's a good, light and funny watch.

@Debbie, we saw three Short-eared Owls! All of them after sunset. Two in the air at once, one of them relatively close to some of the participants. We also saw 13 somewhat distant Wild Turkeys in trees, getting ready to roost, 2 Northern Harriers (one of them an adult male), some ducks in a pond, and other species.

Metal is so heavy it bends timespace, thus new rules. Godflesh is scientifically heavier than neutron stars.

With a name like Weeping Sores... you know it's a win! I will look into this very promising sounding band, THANKS MATT!

TN is just a rough place in parts. Incredibly hearty people. Some TN dark metal gets pretty dark. "Trap" came out of Tennessee, lofi spooky rap recorded on four track tape machines.
