I know the Mannix theme, love that, I will have to look and see what other work he did. Its cool when you can get commisions to write for movies and TV, but as a composer, does doing that rust your soul? Probably some commentary out there on the topic.

I had never heard of Delmore Schwatz till now. Wasn't I fascinated to discover that Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson became a couple. Heart goes out to Laurie, first her dog dies, then Lou dies. I only know Wire from a Warner Bros sampler I had. Next up- Gang of Four? lol

Sarah's mother was a 'folklore' major at U of P when Glassie was there. Thats the only reason I know anything about the topic.

Well we got no kids. But our animals have cool names. Well, some of them are actually human names. Let's see we've got Jackie Treehorn, Christopher, and Philthy.. which are all human names. And of course, Patches the calico cat, where we were purposely going generic

@Jax- naming is important. We use name as a wedge to find our way into the world that will present itself after we have left this corporeal plane.

Yeah Amy i'm also involved heavily with animal rescue and there's some really terrible names. The rescues come up with.

I particularly hate naming animals after football players.

Actually my dog Christopher came with that name for the rescue which I thought was a great name and it fits him perfect

Cat names. We got CatCat, Artimus, Watts, (named for the great cigarette smoker) and of course Spin. Short for Spinoza.

we've had two rescue, Moose and Dolly Sue and we just kept those names and they seem to fit them.

but i think giving them names that you come up wit is great, too.

My neighbor has a boxer canine he named Cassius.

And every b/w cat does not need to be named oreo.

i do not mind cassius

Actually, two of the animals I mentioned Philthy and Patches are TNR-ed ferals. But honestly, they are like our indoor pets so I count them as that. Get Joe Namath fixed already!!!

Our male tuxedo cat is a very plump boy, looks like a 20's gangster, so we call him Georgie No-Neck.

Georgie, no neck I like that. One of our cast that we had years ago.. we used to call Vinny the chin

I have a rescue spider. No security deposit, no feeding, not litter box, no picking up poop. The perfect pet. :)

No Idea where my house spider went. The only thing worse than naming your spiders is counting them.

Raccoons will hold events in your yard if you feed them.

Wildlife shows up where we feed our ferals. I'll chase the raccoons but anything else is welcome. I absolutely love our possums. Skunks are fine too. We have a pretty almost all white one named Zsa Zsa

I let spiders be in my house. It's just a local jumping spider. Not an exotic. lol

I got a Coon Hound. I have had dogs for years, mostly by accident. But this Coon hound has the strongest prey drive of any animal I have ever kept company with.
