Maybe they both don't want to fight. They are hungry and nowhere to live since we just....

wait youre so right.... my humanocentric perspective just totally took over there..

My downstairs neighbor likes to feed the neighborhood racoons. Which quite honestly you shouldnt do, but we did end up with quite a few, at least 5 or six in the yard.

I also happen to have a Blue Tick Coon hound, a rescue given to me.

He is never allowed off leash, unless its in the dog park. I I were to let him off leash, he would be in the next county in about 10 minutes.

He's gotten away a couple of times, genarally does come back. I liive in fear of him escaping, there is a very busy highway nearby, and he thinks cars are prey.

oh of course, i also want to hunt down the hunks of metal that fly along the pavement as well

Anyway, point of the story is one evening I do give him enough lead to disturb dinner time. I would never allow to get one, but anyway, those things scattered. FAst. And then didn't return for some time. I am sorry, it was kind of funny. No one hurt. The eason you don't want to feed them for one is living in conntration like that can cause disease outbreak, think rabies here.

anyway, back to work. Just wanted to log in to tell that story.

If the car is running when I put him in, he bites the exhaust pipe and bites the tires. Dog is nuts.

No. In the park we go to, they maintenance personnel have those little mini pickup trucks, sort of like big golf carts. Hw see one of those, even across the park, he goes totally insane. Likewise when he sees the deer, of which there are many.

thats so funny, im sure it must be amusing

But also- he plays very gently with the old cat at home. She will sink her claws into his snoot, he just takes it. And those claws are sharp.
