Heh...the one thing my Father and I agreed on was politics.

For the 1967 model year, the Delmont 88 came standard with a 330-cubic-inch (5.4 L) V8 engine, producing 250 horsepower, with the option of a more powerful 425-cubic-inch (7.0 L) V8 that delivered 300 horsepower.

He had the standard engine and it was a quick car. He gave it to me after a couple of years, he liked to change cars every 2-3 years. Great car. He drove Buicks and Oldsmobiles, my gother got Chevy's only.

They don't make delivery devices like that anymore.

My mother had a copper 57 Chevy Belair which my sister wrapped around a telephone pole within 6 months.

@jerry, Oh yeah, they did deluxe well on that side of the family, my uncle had a 1966 Buick Riviera Hardtop with Cherry Bomb straight pipes that made the house rumble when he pulled into the garage. He was an engineer and loved to tinker with EVERYTHING.
