As a youngster, all hoagies and cheesesteaks tasted way better to me that they do now. I'm not trying to be nostalgic here, they were way better, better ingredients. And there were no Nazi rules about how they should be made. In the cheesesteak department, sometimes they had mayo, sometimes they didn't. Sometimes they had pizza sauce, sometimes they didn't.

Hey Jerry, I had the radio on earlier. I heard 'Serenade to a Cuckoo' come on, thinking it was Dan Buzzkirk. I wanted to log in and make a snarky coment- ahem, Dan, Only Jerry Gordon is allowed to play that song. Sorry, I had a 10' piece of drywall above my head.

I remember Jerry playing a Chico OFarrill record and Will C and he engaging in a territorial on air Fisticuffs event.

Later they became friends and laughed about it.

Following up in that vein, The One and Only Jerry Gordon has special privileges on WPRB. He's spinning, I'm spinning, but listening. Riding out 76 past the Coh-she curve, He could have put on Disco Duck. And I would have turned it up.
