One of the best concert/show-going experiences I've ever had was when I saw Japandroids four nights in a row at Boot & Saddle. And most of the opening bands were great as well.

One time I loaded up my 1979 Toyota Corona with punx and drove em to 7 Seconds in Sacramento. Tons of punx in a tiny japanese car. All cuddling without choice. Twas brutal. Good show tho, Cattle Club.

Avail was the band for my group of punks that we all packed into each others' cars and hit every show they played from Richmond to NYC.

Haaaaaa!! Schlong is the worst punk band I've ever seen, no disrespect, just wasn't their night. Eli's Mile High in Oakland.

Dayglo Abortions were pretty ragged too to the point of falling apart.

Schlong was the most highly trained, technically amazing idiot band ever. Love them.

@Jen - The two places I am sure I saw Avail in NYC were The Wetlands and Coney Island High. I feel like there were others though as well.

I plan to see them tonight at Pino's Gift Basket Shoppe and Wine Cellar (13 N. 4th Avenue, Highland Park, NJ). Last year at Pino’s, I saw another band with a Minor Threat connection: Bed Maker, fronted by Ian MacKaye’s sister Amanda.
