Richard Mitnick 5:12:17 PM
Great. Thanks.
Number 6 5:12:37 PM
It did switch over, I assume that next DJ got it fixed.
Lizbot (host) 5:12:37 PM
@Ted - Phew!
Lizbot (host) 5:12:58 PM
@Jon "pledge.wprb.com" Solomon - Yes, the Halloween flashback is over! Trains full steam ahead
addie🐍🐍🐍plum 5:13:56 PM
What a relief! And what a track to start the show!
Lizbot (host) 5:14:27 PM
@Number 6 - Are you going to an ambient church show?

Beautiful sunset, 3 hours Lizbot then a finale with the NBC Wicked Concert!
Lizbot (host) 5:16:21 PM
Hi John Coffey!
John Coffey 5:17:37 PM
Suggestion for trains, Subway by Chandra? Still have it on vinyl.
Lizbot (host) 5:17:47 PM
@John Coffey - I was invigorated by the autumn leaves driving up Rte 206 through Lawrence Twp and Princeton today! Gorgeous sun and trees!
Bob Borowsky 5:17:52 PM
I read somewhere that one interpretation of Last Train to Clarksville was as a subtle anti-vietnam war anthem.. ("I don't know if I'm ever coming home")...
Jon "pledge.wprb.com" Solomon 5:18:01 PM
By the way WPRB is 87% of the way towards the 2025 financial goal. Thanks to all who have donated!
Ted 5:18:46 PM
Any room for ‘Tin Toy Clockwork Train’’? Obscure Dukes of Stratospheare track.
Lizbot (host) 5:18:48 PM
@Bob Borowsky - Huh, makes sense!
Number 6 5:18:50 PM
@Lizbot- Smithville Synth night.
Lizbot (host) 5:19:51 PM
@Ted - Good suggestions! DOn't know if I can dig them up in time!
Ted 5:22:17 PM
Or ‘The Speed of a Train’. Excellent Martin Newell. Okay I’ll stop.
Lizbot (host) 5:24:28 PM
@Ted - No, keep going! I take notes for next time! I might get a chance to slip some of those in, but I'd have to go acquire 'em first and the show started about 11 minutes late due to technical difficulties, so I'm not sure I'll get to any of these, but I like the requests! Good ideas for future episodes!
jimbooooo 5:25:12 PM
Choo Choo wa whoooo I sense a theme here...
Randy Marthins 5:25:18 PM
Speaking of The Metro - any version would be appreciated !Berlin, alkaline trio, the interrupters)
Lizbot (host) 5:26:15 PM
helloooooo jimbooooo! Indeed, a theme is pulling into the station
Lizbot (host) 5:26:27 PM
Hi Randy Marthins!
Lizbot (host) 5:26:48 PM
@Randy Marthins - Oh, I DO have a version of that queued for later
Randy Marthins 5:29:44 PM
Excllent - I'm sure @jonsolomon has seen Teri Nunn's Star Wars audition
Lizbot (host) 5:32:51 PM
@Randy Marthins - Weird. I did not know Terri Nunn tried out for Star Wars?! Wut? I loved her "Dancing In Isolation" track on the Better Off Dead soundtrack when I was a kid and it still holds up!
Randy Marthins 5:33:53 PM
Yes!!! She was pretty good, in my opinion, but the correct choice was made
Lizbot (host) 5:34:56 PM
@Randy Marthins - I assuming for the Leah role...I don't know what else it could have been! Huh, I am picturing that alternate reality now
Randy Marthins 5:35:20 PM
Re: subway trai s - it is widely regarded that subway graffiti was born in. Philly #CornbreadLives
Randy Marthins 5:36:38 PM
Yes her screen tests are on youtube
Lizbot (host) 5:37:17 PM
@Randy Marthins - Love to Cornbread! My husband grew up in Center City in the 80s. Cornbread tags were still alive and well. I met him while living in the same neighborhood in a studio in the early 2000s and Cornbread's legacy was still very much alive
Lizbot (host) 5:38:36 PM
@Randy Marthins - I still have my old VHS copy of Beat Street, which features so much glorious 80s NYC subway graffiti. That, and of course The Warriors!
Ted 5:40:43 PM
Oh yeah, Locomotive Breath
Lizbot (host) 5:44:42 PM
@Ted - That's one I did pull and put in my music files for this show, but I am not sure if I'll be fitting it in! A classic, though!

Lizbot (host) 5:51:41 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - Oh, you know I will be! I love The Charm of the Highway Strip too much not to play it, especially that song!
John Coffey 5:52:35 PM
Sorry @lizbot, graffiti in Beat Street was done by union artists, not real graffiti writers. Best and bible of graffiti is the documentary Style Wars first shown on PBS. Wild Style was fun, but do see Style Wars.
A Mag Fields fan from Maryland 🦀 5:53:14 PM

A Mag Fields fan from Maryland 🦀 5:56:12 PM

addie🐍🐍🐍plum 6:04:37 PM
Well overdue for a rewatch!
Lizbot (host) 6:04:46 PM
@Matt Sabbath donated to the wprb - Glad you're digging it! I mostly take the northeast corridor between NYC & Philly, but the most beautiful trainride I ever took was on the Coast Starlight Amtrak line. I had to get from Portland to Seattle after the big eclipse of summer 2017 and all roads were heavily blocked up. Best spontaneous choice! Gorgeous views of the coast during the sunset! Fun meal with oddball train enthusiasts in the dining car!
Murky Matt Sabbath 6:04:52 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:40:55 PM
@Dale Hazelton - I have never had more than one cat at a time. When I go to friends' houses who have multiple cats, the cats always seem to be engaged in a long-term battle for domination, even when they will pause to sleep in cuddle-piles. Always something shredded or marked in cat pee.

@Randy Marthins - The love-hate relationship all Philadelphians have with SEPTA was tested when it damn-near got totally defunded! SEPTIC will always have its problems, but nothing beats catching the train into town and not dealing with the evil overlords The Parking Authority!
