Lizbot (host) 5:04:55 PM
Chef Emeril Lagasse! And an enthusiastic BAAAAAM!!!!! to you as well!
Lizbot (host) 5:06:07 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse - Are you brewing anything strange for Killbot next Thursday?
Chef Emeril Lagasse 5:08:36 PM
Nuts & bolts stew with extra green goo!
Lizbot (host) 5:09:35 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse - I hope it's good n' oily or she'll slash me with rusty clampers!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 5:11:46 PM
Extra oil COMIN UP!!! BAM!!!!!!!
Lizbot (host) 5:13:31 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse - Gotta keep her hinges moving so she can slice into some fine records next week!

Lizbot (host) 5:14:32 PM
Greetings Rob from Maryland 🦀!
Lizbot (host) 5:16:21 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - How's birdage down there in Maryland?
Lizbot (host) 5:18:13 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - I keep seeing those faux spider web decorations made of stretched cotton batting and wanting to remove them so they don't trap birds! I don't, but it's tempting! I have spider web decorations on my porch that are made of ropes and the birds perch on them! It's that fine mesh of cotton webbing they get stuck in. I shake my robot fist!
Roy Cole 5:43:57 PM

Lizbot (host) 5:44:34 PM

Haha! Yes! The existential essentials of TOT
Lizbot (host) 5:48:20 PM
@George Korein - Ha, you are The Ferryman, dealing in souls, trading them across the river. Not to be confused with Bryan Ferry, man

Roffle House 5:57:05 PM
@lizbot, Gravy and a side of Waffle is our thing.
Lizbot (host) 5:57:33 PM
@Roy Cole - ha! Daniel Ash of Tones on Tail probably has a lot of amusing stories being on the road with Peter Murphy in Bauhaus!
George Korein 5:57:43 PM
1. Rock. 2. See music. 3. Repeat.
Lizbot (host) 5:58:32 PM
@George Korein - "flivver" is a deep cut. Were you reading Upton Sinclair?!
Roy Cole 5:58:48 PM
Oh yes! Cuts you up!
Lizbot (host) 5:59:05 PM
@Roffle House - damnnnnnn. That sounds so good. The perils of being on the air at dinnertime!
Roffle House 6:00:00 PM
Sinclair? Punctuation-lite.
Roy Cole 6:00:22 PM
You need a grubbot
George Korein 6:01:03 PM
So much jam block
George Korein 6:01:41 PM
The flivver king > the liver king
Lizbot (host) 6:01:48 PM
@Roy Cole - Yeah, I need one of those grub-bot to roll a Hoagie Haven order over here! Grub-bots should do my bidding, i need to figure out a signal to send over the airwaves to summon them
Roffle House 6:02:11 PM
I can't believe it's not liver!
George Korein 6:02:20 PM
“Fascinating Rhythm” introduced me to the word.
Roffle House 6:04:48 PM
Hoagie Haven! Now I am hungry! Long time since I went there.
Lizbot (host) 6:07:28 PM
@George Korein - The flivver king is innnnnfinity better than the liver king! Maybe the liver king will be downed by a flivver
Number 6 6:07:58 PM
Greetings, I'm on for a bit until I go see Romeo & Juliet.
Lizbot (host) 6:11:05 PM
@Roffle House - Yeah, despite being mere blocks from Hoagie Haven every single week, I rarely get there. Their hoagies are so over the top, I feel like I'm supposed to order one of their specials, then realize I don't want a mountain of pork roll and three eggs inside a taco on a hoagie, just a normal friggin hoagie will do! I think those sandwiches are an undergrad's game
Lizbot (host) 6:11:43 PM
Greetings, Number 6!
Lizbot (host) 6:12:06 PM
@Number 6 - Film or theater production?
Number 6 6:12:43 PM
Theater, down in Virginia.
Lizbot (host) 6:13:11 PM
@Roffle House - Blech! I can still remember all too well the smell of liver paté because my mom liked weird foods and often ordered that or just regular old Jersey diner liver with onions....blllech
Lizbot (host) 6:13:35 PM
@Number 6 - Whereabouts in Virginia are you?
Lizbot (host) 6:14:40 PM
@George Korein - Fascinating Rhythm is from the 20s, when "flivver" was probably a hip new word!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:15:41 PM
@Lizbot, birdage down here has been unremarkable for us as we haven't done too much birding. There is still a catbird a block or two away. Is yours still around (I can't remember). And I agree about those faux spider webs, urgh
Number 6 6:16:22 PM
@Lizbot-Near Staunton, great weather here!
Lizbot (host) 6:19:06 PM
@Number 6 - Ah, that's close to Shenandoah National Park I think. I have a friend who lives in Rappahonnock County in Flint Hill, which is a northernly side of Shenandoah Valley
Lizbot (host) 6:20:09 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - Last week I had a couple encounters with the catbird. This week was on the chillier side, but I still spent time on the deck with my jacket on for a few days and I did not hear Mr. Catbird, sadly!
Number 6 6:21:09 PM
We went to Monticello today, and also Highland.
Number 6 6:22:47 PM
@Lizbot- Are you going to Haunted Haddon this weekend?
Roffle House 6:25:24 PM
Liver and onions sounds like primo Halloween fare. If you want to scare children, give them that.
Lizbot (host) 6:26:22 PM
@Number 6 - I am tempted to! There are so many good Halloween events this weekend. Haunted Haddon could be combined with a visit to my mom, so that bolsters its chances of making it into my weekend plans!
Lizbot (host) 6:27:13 PM
@Roffle House - haha, ew. I would if I didn't have to smell it!...And if it didn't guarantee angry parents knocking down my door demanding why I'm handing out smelly organ meats!
Roffle House 6:27:51 PM
Scarry for everybody! lol
Joseph Nally 6:27:53 PM
Hi
Joseph Nally 6:28:12 PM
I saw they might at the Trocadero in 2008 on New Year’s Eve
michael gudgeon 6:28:32 PM
one of my all time fav songs
Lizbot (host) 6:29:23 PM
Hi Joseph Nally!
michael gudgeon 6:30:37 PM
sup lizbot! after leaf house i was hoping for some deacon they are heavily paired in my liked songs list !
Lizbot (host) 6:30:48 PM
@Joseph Nally - oh wow! I saw TMBG at the Troc at some point, but not the NYE show because I had a newborn! I saw The Dead Milkmen Halloween show at The Troc. Those were fun times. I loved that place, it was such a grand old theater and I have so many great show memories from it
Lizbot (host) 6:30:59 PM
Hi michael gudgeon!
Number 6 6:32:49 PM
I like bacon and liver! Okay gotta run, BCNU!
John Coffey 6:33:23 PM
Hi Lizbot, been busy enjoying lasts days of sunlight. Tuning in for the second half of your show show!
Lizbot (host) 6:33:24 PM
@michael gudgeon - When I Was Done Dying is way up there in my favorite Dan Deacon songs! Did you see him play Ardmore Music Hall a couple springs ago? He had the whole audience created a "wall of life" to that song, like the concept of "wall of death" in metal shows, but without people crushing each other!
Lizbot (host) 6:33:37 PM
@Number 6 - Have fun at the play!
Lizbot (host) 6:33:44 PM
Greetings John Coffey!
Matt Sabbath 6:34:59 PM
N.O.! Love that snare
John Coffey 6:35:01 PM
Missed the Alice Cohen, Alice Cohen from The Vels?
Lizbot (host) 6:35:11 PM
@John Coffey - Glad you could tune in! Yeah, it's been really beautiful out this week. Driving in Jersey today from Philly was a treat with the sunlight hitting the changing leaves. My husband drove 2 hours each way to and from The Poconos earlier this week and said it was gorgeous up there right now too
Lizbot (host) 6:36:24 PM
Hi Matt Sabbath! Yes! So good! I yelped when they started playing Temptation during their encore at The Mann Music Center a few years back! It was a stormy night and the show had been rescheduled from pandemic days, but it was so worth the wait!
Joseph Nally 6:36:25 PM
I saw Dan Decan open up for Treasure Mammal.
Joseph Nally 6:36:58 PM
Lizbot, you would like Exotic Birds. Cleveland synthpop. Heartbeat like a drum.
Lizbot (host) 6:37:41 PM
@Joseph Nally - Where was that show? I'd have liked to have been there!
Matt Sabbath 6:38:00 PM
Lizbot wow! Love the first N.O. album, so good & dark
Lizbot (host) 6:38:06 PM
@Joseph Nally - Oooh, yes that does sound up my alley!
Lizbot (host) 6:39:09 PM
@Matt Sabbath - Sometimes New Order is just exactly what i need. Never gets old
Lizbot (host) 6:41:50 PM
@michael gudgeon / @Joseph Nally - Have either of you been watching "Task" on HBO? Dan Deacon scored the whole limited series. That, plus those DELCO/Philly accents and the excellent cast and Jeremiah Zagar (Philly mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar's son) all guaranteed I would watch that show and I'm not disappointed. Dan Deacon has been scoring a LOT of films lately too
michael gudgeon 6:43:47 PM
i have not i will have rto check it out
Lizbot (host) 6:44:22 PM
@John Coffey - Looks like a different Alice Cohen, but thanks for reminding me of The Vels!
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:44:27 PM
Bye catbird, have a nice winter!
Lizbot (host) 6:44:52 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - I have not given up on catbird yet, but it has been getting a bit chilly for him!
Lizbot (host) 6:45:38 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - I hope he sends me a postcard from Mexico or The Caribbean
Rob from Maryland 🦀 6:47:01 PM
Hopefully, yes
Lizbot (host) 6:47:02 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦀 - And that postcard will probably just have scrawled on it "mmmmmeeeehhwwww"
Joseph Nally 6:48:36 PM
Door dashing atm
Joseph Nally 6:48:52 PM
I love Treasure Mammal
Lizbot (host) 6:49:24 PM
@michael gudgeon - It's good but at times stressful! It has Mark Ruffalo and the woman who starred in the movie CODA, who was great in that, but I hadn't seen her in anything since. I almost didn't recognize her. It's written by the same Philly writer who wrote and created The Mare of Easttown, which was also a limited series crime drama set in Delaware County suburban Philadelphia. In that one we were treated to Kate Winslet mastering the Philly accent!
Roy Cole 6:50:42 PM
It was a wonderful dusk here in south jersey to witness the event of the sunset. Now you have created the soundtrack! Thanks Lizbot!
Lizbot (host) 6:51:14 PM
@Joseph Nally - Even the name Treasure Mammal is good! And now I'm thinking of the lyrics to the They Might Be Giants song "Mammal" Their names are called, they raise a paw!
Joseph Nally 6:51:20 PM
L.Dalt will be playing at Johnny Brenda’s next week
Lizbot (host) 6:53:09 PM
@Roy Cole - I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can't see the sunset from this [mostly] windowless radio studio, but I had a great drive in the autumn sun, and it set the mood for the music i am playing today!
Lizbot (host) 6:55:34 PM
@Joseph Nally - I know! And I'm a big fan! But sadly it's on Thursday night, immediately after my annual DevilPlusGhoul with Killbot Halloween show! So I COULD conceivably make it in time if there's an opener, but I'd probably miss at least a significant portion of Dalt's set, driving from Princeton!
Lizbot (host) 6:59:46 PM
That drop. Damn. R.I.P. Sinead
Roy Cole 7:04:45 PM
Yes. We miss her and Dolores. But their music lives and moves us with an endless strength.
Lizbot (host) 7:06:51 PM
@Roy Cole - She had such powerful songs and such a powerful voice. Dolores O'Roirdan as well
michael gudgeon 7:07:00 PM
this is super intense on headphones blasting lmao!
michael gudgeon 7:07:08 PM
so siiiick!
Lizbot (host) 7:08:11 PM
@michael gudgeon - excellent!
michael gudgeon 7:08:20 PM
always reminds me of the carter III!!!!!
michael gudgeon 7:10:20 PM
this one not the last one!
Roy Cole 7:10:24 PM
Trader of souls who’s intention are good! Perfect!
Lizbot (host) 7:12:27 PM
@michael gudgeon - I'm guessing you're talking about Nina Simone's DOn't Let Me Be Misunderstood??
Lizbot (host) 7:14:01 PM
@Roy Cole - I love that song so much
Lizbot (host) 7:14:36 PM
I think autumn changes, earlier darkness and changing of the leaves in bringing out a more introspective Doubleplusgood today!
Roy Cole 7:17:17 PM
We are frying eggplant to make the parmigiana. Have not made it since Spring.
Roy Cole 7:17:51 PM
Sorry. Hope someone has dinner ready for you…
Lizbot (host) 7:18:23 PM
@Roy Cole - No worries! I often stop somewhere after my show before driving back to Philly! Eggplant sounds so good right now!
Lizbot (host) 7:19:01 PM
@Roy Cole - My family eats without me on Thursdays because I don't get back to Philly until 9:30 or so!
Roy Cole 7:20:03 PM
❤️❤️❤️ such a great set! You and Cynthia really struck gold with us today!
Lizbot (host) 7:22:14 PM
@Roy Cole - So glad you're enjoying it!
G Jax 7:23:01 PM
Awesome Nick, Drake, and then Queen. Love it.
G Jax 7:23:29 PM
For some reason, I haven't heard Nick Drake in so long. It's so good to hear.
Lizbot (host) 7:23:35 PM
Greetings G Jax! Glad you're digging it!
Lizbot (host) 7:24:20 PM
@G Jax - Yeah, I think autumn colors / changing of the seasons prompts me to break out the Nick Drake records
G Jax 7:24:44 PM
Queen was like the perfect band. The four of them.
G Jax 7:25:18 PM
Teal Fall really is
G Jax 7:25:46 PM
Perfect for Nick Drake.
G Jax 7:26:09 PM
Don't know where 'teal' came from there
Ossy 7:26:11 PM
great autumn smells tonight liz!
Lizbot (host) 7:26:42 PM
@G Jax - It's true. Also Queen is one of those bands I always wish I'd seen live but never did.
Lizbot (host) 7:26:45 PM
Hi Ossy!
Lizbot (host) 7:27:14 PM
@Ossy - True! It's fully officially autumnal now!
G Jax 7:28:34 PM
The guy who works on my guitars works also on Yester's from the association guitars. I think he's a jersey guy down by the shore.
Lizbot (host) 7:28:44 PM
@G Jax - Hmmm. Teal Fall...Now I am wondering what a band called that would sound like, but all I can think of now is Mark E. Smith's voice
G Jax 7:28:53 PM
Jim Yester is his name.
Lizbot (host) 7:31:12 PM
@G Jax - Oh crazy! I love those sunshiney The Association albums. Yester wrote a lot of their hits!: Windy, Cherish, Never My Love, Along Comes Mary! I wonder which shore town he lives in!
G Jax 7:31:12 PM
Jim sang lead on Along Comes Mary
Ossy 7:31:29 PM
Yeah, from all the colored leaves, officially autumny! ♥🧡💛💚🤎
G Jax 7:33:03 PM
Autumny. I like that
Lizbot (host) 7:33:06 PM
@G Jax - Great song. He was in The Lovin' Spoonful at some point too. John Sebastian from that band went to my father-in-law's high school, but before his time
Ossy 7:34:02 PM
G Jax - Totally!
Laura Loewen 7:34:17 PM
Hi- I'm cooking and can't really chat, but I just had to jump on to say how good it all is
Lizbot (host) 7:34:21 PM
@Ossy - Autumny indeed!
Lizbot (host) 7:34:28 PM
Hi Laura Loewen!
Lizbot (host) 7:34:39 PM
@Laura Loewen - So glad you're enjoying it!
G Jax 7:34:43 PM
Love all that stuff. Favorite Lovin Spoonful is Nashville Cats
Laura Loewen 7:34:58 PM
Hi and thanks and back to the kitchen with me!
Ossy 7:35:09 PM
yes, space lady susan, on astronomical repeat!!! 💙💙💙
Lizbot (host) 7:36:59 PM
@G Jax - Yeah, JOhn Sebastian was a real NYC entertainment industry kid. Did you know his godmother was Ethel from I Love Lucy! His mom worked in radio and his dad was a musician.
Lizbot (host) 7:37:10 PM
@Laura Loewen - Have a good dinner!
Lizbot (host) 7:37:32 PM
@Ossy - Space Lady Susan Dietrich! She is my deity!
Joseph Nally 7:37:46 PM
I love space lady!!! Did anyone see her at PhilaMoca in 2018?
G Jax 7:38:56 PM
