Michael, Superchunk was terrific and the new songs sound great up against gems from 1991.

It was at the municipal park in King of Prussia. I was legitimately 15 minutes away at the rest stop on the tpke when I was rendered immobile. Perhaps 3rd time's the charm in another year or two!

I got to hang out with my old man and watch some boxing after I made a hasty retreat back home, so not all was lost!

Had to miss Street Eaters on Friday to do the same (though there was no boxing to view).

Water in your Eyes and Her New Knife next Monday though, I'm totally looking forward to that too.

Funny blurb, cause this is just the srot of thing I would play driving in lake effect snow at night.

I was driving back from the aforementioned Superchunk show last Wednesday and the DJ on WPRB was playing very lovely, minimalist classical music which would have been perfect in any other circumstance. I needed a jolt!

Safety first! For me there a certain mental state at 2-3am, creative, absorbed. This music enhances that state.And driving on an empty road also brings atmosphere.

Having company in the car certainly helped.

Agreed this would be great snow squall soundtrack.

I dug his style, but this record is my favorite thing of his I've heard (to be fair, I missed a bunch).

Most excellent show as always. Made for a perfect soundtrack while both making and eating homemade primavera sauce with spaghetti and meatballs. Loved that Phelps set so much, gives me the feels.
