@Stitching Pink, seeing your photograph of your cassettes makes me remember that I occasionally taped indie-pop themed shows on my local college radio station (WMUC in College Park MD) in the early 90s. There was one *set* I taped that led me to buy albums from several groups: Fastbacks and the French band Les Calamites are still huge favorites of mine from that set, and also the English band Popguns

Sadly, those tapes have spent too long in somewhat dank basements so I can't play them any more (and I never wrote down the bands on any of those cassettes)

@Stitching Pink, not those specifically, but a couple of other & older cassettes broke while I was listening to them some years ago. One of them was The Wonderful And Frightening World Of The Fall, so I ran out immediately and purchased that on CD

I've been afraid to listen to any other cassettes since then :-((

as the Notorious B.I.G. said "I let my tape rock until my tape popped"

I wonder if there is someone who could get the music off of them for you.

I bought a tape deck to listen to my old shows but it speeds up the tapes and makes my voice sound kind of weird.
