Doc, I'm probably not a good person to ask, I'm nit as into his solo stuff. It's too different from what I love about Sabbath. More like 80's hair bands, which I'm not into very much. I approach this music from a more punk perspective, need it loud and harsh and dirty, not pretty.

I hearya, Mike T. Blizzard of Ozz is a dope title tho! But yeah the 4 brummies have a certain chemistry.

Won't get deep or maudlin, but, as a teacher, I often forget the beneficial effect we can have on others. Thought you should know that what you do is so valuable. I had a particularly moving experience with a kid last Fall, would share it if you'd like. It made me forget (some of) the bullshit I have to deal with at work. As does great music, always.

I met with the student after class. We talked about how he could remedy his problems with the course. He met with me regularly, with one of my friends who tutored him, and he came to all the walk-in tutoring sessions I held...

He did not blame me (as often happens) but took responsibility for doing poorly but also for improving...

After one of the group tutoring sessions, I told the director of tutoring services of the great respect this young man earned from me (remember this for the end of this story)...

...that this student was not a child, but a young man who makes me proud to be a teacher...

that is an uplifting story, Mike! I get disillusioned by education but must remember that when it works it works on a deep level

This student improved, but still struggled, but did enough to raise his grade to a C, which he needed to stay in his curriculum...

I did not have this student for the second semester of this class...

but my friend told me that this student was continuing to work very hard, continually trending grades upward from B to A...

What a great story, I bet he shares the sentiment

My encouragement during the first semester helped him get over his belief that he could not do this...not quite done, sorry...gets better...
