Hey, I just googled Slim Gaillard and found that in addition to being a fab jazz musician he was a wonderful world class eccentric. The strange language he was singing in (which I couldn't place, hence my google) was "Vout-o-Reenee", which he constructed ~ and for which he even wrote a dictionary! :-D
