LET US PERFORM ALCHEMY AND TURN SLUDGE TO SLUDGE

all manner of items return to sludge

What need have we for gold? What we need is sludge. - Aristotle

Hey, radio neighbor. Dan Buskirk is here - a week early

hiya dan! thanks for covering next week!

sludge is the fuel that powers our engines

DAN SLUDGEKIRK

Flex, someone made an interesting comment on Debby Webby's show: to the effect that Mastodon's The Hunter is their best album

interesting! I do enjoy that album but Leviathan is still my favorite

Hey Sludgemates!! I love how much this Elder song refers to Led Zeppelin's bass line for 'Black Dog' while making it very much their own riff! What do you think?

Elder rules

Indeed!!!

loove elder! it's such a great riff

I didn't even make the black dog connection

RIDE THE DOOM

feel the thunder

This is great!! But without my middle-distance glasses, I looked at the thumbnail for the band and thought its name was Spoonbread.

SPOONBREAD

-- a very mid-Atlantic doom metal band

spoonbread sounds like a great name ngl

I have a kinda sorta request -- Would you have any Witch (J Mascis trio) or Sweet Apple? Heard 2 days back that the co-founder of both those bands, Dave Sweetapple, passed away this past week. Lots of grieving friends in Western MA and beyond...

oh whoa didn't know that! I do have some witch

it's gonna come up in a few tracks

J drums in Witch, pretty cool

Oh thank you soooo much, Flex!🍎💔

Yeah, Witch is like the East Coast Fuzz

yeah j mascis is an amherst boy

Great show! Thanks for playing the Melvins earlier!

thanks for tuning in! always love me some melvins

Thank you for another epic and terrific show!

thanks for tuning in! catch ya in two weeks!
