Hello! It's good to be back at The Barge!
Jon Solomon 5:01:18 PM
Sorry to miss you by a couple of minutes, Liz. Have a great show!
Parrscream 5:02:22 PM
Hey Lizbot!
Number 6 5:02:36 PM
Hi, when I was there yesterday, I heard static on the FM monitor after my show started. Gave me a bit of a scare.
Number 6 5:03:50 PM
I think that I turned the wrong knob on the radio in all the excitement.
Lizbot (host) 5:03:54 PM
Hi Jon! Thanks! I hope the levels sound okay!
Lizbot (host) 5:04:21 PM
Hi Parrscream! Any games to get to tonight?
Jon Solomon 5:04:51 PM
Sounds good to me, both music-wise and mic-wise. Jumping back in the car soon and we'll be listening.
Lizbot (host) 5:04:53 PM
Hi Number 6! Yikes! I turned the volume down on that little stereo a couple minutes ago
Parrscream 5:05:04 PM
Yep Liz! Of course.... Track for my oldest tonight! Ha ha.... Although soccer ended on Sunday... so we will have a little more free time. :-)
Lizbot (host) 5:05:44 PM
@Jon - Good! Sounds so different hoppping back and forth between home and Barge studio, and I think it's 99% the difference in headphones!
Lizbot (host) 5:06:28 PM
@Parrscream - Naturally! My kid's spring tennis just wrapped up last week!
Jon Solomon 5:06:40 PM
Sea? See? C!
Stephen Bluhm 5:07:45 PM
*waves*
Lizbot (host) 5:08:10 PM
@Jon - haha, have you checked out the new video Rob, Amelia and Cathy made for C Is the Heavenly Option? It's got Ira Kaplan, Calvin of course, and a whole slew of guests having fun
Lizbot (host) 5:08:16 PM
Hi Stephen!
Parrscream 5:08:46 PM
Wow! I would love for one of my kids to get into tennis... how did the tennis season go, Liz?
Lizbot (host) 5:10:26 PM
@Parrscream - She's a beginner, so not playing on the team much! BUt she had a lot of fun and wants to continue tennis in high school, which she starts in...just over 3 months! Yikes!
Number 6 5:11:54 PM
I think that they should put tape over certain knobs and switches so that nothing gets changed by accident.
Parrscream 5:12:47 PM
@Liz - That's awesome! At least she is doing it right? That's how our oldest got into Track a couple seasons ago... he was just a beginner and now he is doing pretty good with it. And he is also going into high school in three months!!! DOUBLE YIKES!!!
richard lyons:) 5:13:05 PM
Hi Lizbot! All my favorites in the first set!
Lizbot (host) 5:14:13 PM
@Number 6 - She really enjoys it, so that's what counts, and she'll get in a lot more practice in the fall, since high school girls' tennis is in the fall at her school, so who knows in a couple of years she might be hitting all those backhand shots!
Lizbot (host) 5:14:20 PM
Hi Richard Lyons!
Lizbot (host) 5:15:07 PM
@Richard Lyons - Glad to hear it!
Francis 5:19:15 PM
does a band just sound Australian to you all? These guys certainly do to me.
Parrscream 5:19:42 PM
@Liz - Only about a month until "Asteroid City"! I'm so excited!
Lizbot (host) 5:21:54 PM
Hi Francis! haha, I know what you mean. I have a friend from Sydney who was in his early 20s there when Radio Birdman were just releasing these albums and he talks fondly about seeing them live and keeps trying to get me to do an all-Australian band show for Australia Day, which I've been meaning to do, but I never think of it in time!
Lizbot (host) 5:23:22 PM
@Parrscream - I know! It's on the top of my upcoming summer releases list I've looking forward to seeing, along with that insane-looking Barbie movie by Greta Gerwig & NOah Baumbach. I never liked Barbies, but that thing looks unhinged in a very good way
Francis 5:24:21 PM
Huh - that would be a fun series of shows - Aussy punk, French, etc.
Parrscream 5:25:20 PM
@Liz - Ha ha! I know! I hardly ever have time to get to the theater anymore but I am FINALLY taking my kids to see Mario on Sunday and I will DEFINITELY see Asteroid City in the theater. Hopefully the week it comes out. ANd totally agreed about Barbie! It looks insane!
Lizbot (host) 5:26:16 PM
@Francis - Yes! For real! I DO intend to do some time. One thing that always throws me off is that I think of Australia Day as a summertime thing, which it IS...for them. But of course it happens during our winter so I usually remember after it has passed!
Parrscream 5:26:59 PM
@Liz - Let's talk more about it next week! Gotta hop in the car and head to track. I'll be listening but won't be in the chat....
Lizbot (host) 5:27:22 PM
@Parrscream - Have a great rest of yr night!
Number 6 5:30:08 PM

Carlos Ramone. 5:34:48 PM
@ Liz…Double Nickels..a definite deserted island album
Lizbot (host) 5:34:50 PM
@George Korein - This song is such 70s AM Gold smoothness and I love it!
Lizbot (host) 5:35:05 PM
Hi Carlos! Yes!! The first Minutemen album I ever owned
Lizbot (host) 5:36:03 PM
@George - AM Gold by way of Lima, Peru! Makes me want a suspira de Limeńa
George Korein 5:36:18 PM

Carlos Ramone. 5:36:26 PM
I read many years ago that they named it that to make fun of Sammy Hagar, who couldn’t drive 55
Lizbot (host) 5:36:29 PM
@George - i mean suspirO!
Lizbot (host) 5:37:19 PM
@George - ha!
Lizbot (host) 5:38:05 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Yes! I heard that and it makes me smile! I can just imagine D. Boon and Mike Watt laughing at the idea!
Number 6 5:38:41 PM
@Lizbot- I haven't had the pleasure of meeting that guy, but I would also ask him howcum Alaska and northern countries have 6 months of darkness and 6 months of light?
Lizbot (host) 5:38:51 PM
@Carlos Ramone - In classic Watt fashion, he'd tell a 45 minute long story about just that...probably longer....but it would be highly entertaining!
Lizbot (host) 5:40:43 PM
@Number 6 - He seems to LOVE when people engage with him. He clearly wants a debate...like a real live in-person internet troll!
Number 6 5:42:06 PM
I have A LOT more questions for people of his ilk.
stevie p 5:42:10 PM
Hi all. Listenin' but workin' so not chattin'
Lizbot (host) 5:43:10 PM
@Number 6 - There is an absolutely bonkers documentary about Flat-Earthers I saw maybe 5 or 6 years ago. It was VERY satisfying watching them try to prove it scientifically and failing over and over.
Lizbot (host) 5:43:38 PM
Hi Stevie P! Good to know you're there!
Francis 5:45:38 PM
I suspect a good proportion of them are just trolls, and the rest just argue in bad faith from some social inadequacy.
Lizbot (host) 5:48:53 PM
@Francis - Yeah, it's pretty fascinating and crazy what nutty theories just take off for some reason
Number 6 5:54:19 PM
Penn & Teller are pretty good at negating some of that BS.
Number 6 5:54:54 PM
A lot of it maybe bar bets.
Lizbot (host) 5:55:40 PM
@Number 6 - true!
Number 6 5:55:52 PM
I bet that I can convince some people to believe in so and so. The nuttier the better.
Zachary S. 5:58:45 PM
Always look forward to your shows Lizbot!
Lizbot (host) 5:59:41 PM
Hi Zachary S.! Thank you!
Lizbot (host) 6:00:13 PM
@Number 6 - Yup. Kinda scary! Scarier these days than it once was!
Number 6 6:01:26 PM
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men. The Shadow do!
Carlos Ramone. 6:03:18 PM
@#6…the shadow do..a Howard Stern line from years ago?
Mike Appelstein 6:03:31 PM
Hi Liz! I literally work with a flat earther
Mike Appelstein 6:04:24 PM
He has a law degree which supports my theory that the very smart are susceptible to such theories
Rob from Maryland 6:04:38 PM
I fought off an array of catbirds to get here this evening!
Rob from Maryland 6:05:11 PM
And hooray, it's Lata Mangeshkar on air right now!
Lizbot (host) 6:06:02 PM
@Number 6 - ha, I always think of Wallace Shawn's voice delivering that famous Shadow line since he portrayed the narrator of that show in Radio Days!
Ossy 6:06:11 PM
Hi Spacebot Liz, caught that smelly egg song!
Number 6 6:06:18 PM
@Mike- You should show him all of the free energy devices on youtube that you can save a bundle of money on if you use them to power your house.
stevie p 6:06:19 PM
I have catbirds in my neighborhood. One has a call that sounds like "procedure procedure procedure"
stevie p 6:06:53 PM
Another one, or maybe the same one has a call that sounds like "Chris chris chris chris chris."
Lizbot (host) 6:07:15 PM
Hi Mike Appelstein! Oh brother! Does he try to convince you?? I'm guessing that's how you discovered he was a flat-earther...unless he wears a t-shirt declaring his beliefs or something!
Lizbot (host) 6:07:19 PM
Hi Rob from Maryland!
Lizbot (host) 6:07:37 PM
Hi Ossy!
Mike Appelstein 6:08:47 PM
I’ve overheard him arguing with others. It…seems sincere rather than an intellectual exercise? I choose not to get involved
Lizbot (host) 6:08:57 PM
@Rob from Maryland - haha, don't send them my way! The ONLY thing worse is Flat-Earther catbirds! That's just what i need! Them wheezing out their demented chirps. trying to drop pamphlets on my deck!
Lizbot (host) 6:09:20 PM
@Rob - I'm glad you enjoyed the Lata Mangeshkar!
Lizbot (host) 6:09:34 PM
@Ossy - Good! Wait...which one?!
Mike Appelstein 6:09:41 PM
Last thing I want to do is encourage him to think. Subscribe to said theories
Lizbot (host) 6:11:18 PM
@stevie p - It's a spy! Don't trust it! It's trying to send a procedure to Steve to convert more catbirds to the Flat Earth Theory. Birds are drones, don't ya know?! My yard's catbird has a broken squeaky toy call and it drives me insane
Rob from Maryland 6:11:25 PM
Hello Mike! I said the last time I saw you in the chat that your zines were my favorites back in the day
Ossy 6:11:27 PM
Liz - I wasn't on your site here, but overheard something about a smelly egg song thing
Ossy 6:11:40 PM
Wasn't on the site here to catch the name
Lizbot (host) 6:12:03 PM
@Mike Appelstein - WISE decision! That would be my choice as well
Mike Appelstein 6:12:06 PM
Thanks, Rob! I’m back at it
Rob from Maryland 6:12:25 PM
@Lizbot, my wife is a bit of a bollywood fan. And I'll yeet any Flat-Earther catbirds into orbit!
Lizbot (host) 6:12:43 PM
@Mike Appelstein - I see you've been busy writing!
Rob from Maryland 6:13:35 PM
@Stevie P, the "Procedure Procedure" bird is a Carolina Wren https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Carolina_Wren/sounds. Around here they've been known to sing "Impeachment Impeachment"
Mike Appelstein 6:14:21 PM
Three issues in 6 months - but I suspect I am flooding the market, so next one won’t be til fall
jimboo 6:14:28 PM

Rob from Maryland 6:14:39 PM
Mike, can you give me a link to your new effort?
Lizbot (host) 6:14:54 PM

Rob from Maryland 6:15:33 PM
@Mike A, ah, I just found that! Thanks!!
stevie p 6:15:36 PM
@Rob... I think that might be the birb I hear, although the call i hear is slower and more accurately articulated... procedure procedure procedure
Lizbot (host) 6:15:53 PM
Hi jimboo! haha,I have seen them a couple times live and have a very nice Horse Lords show silkscreen print made by Erik Ruin! They make ear candy!
Mike Appelstein 6:16:17 PM
Anyway - I always forget to listen to Liz’s show, so am glad to be here
stevie p 6:16:17 PM
I also have a bird or birds we call the Mick Mick McGee bird. That's what is says... mick mick mcgee
Lizbot (host) 6:16:18 PM
@Mike Appelstein - Nice! Gotta catch up on yr writings!
stevie p 6:17:26 PM
@Lizbot - i hope you're not saying that the reason i believe the earth is flat is because of what birds have been saying to me.
stevie p 6:17:43 PM
you're talkin' crazy
Mike Appelstein 6:17:54 PM
Should I interview my flat-earth colleague for the next one? But that would mean engaging him
Lizbot (host) 6:18:16 PM
@Mike Appelstein - I'm glad you're here too!
stevie p 6:19:01 PM
@Mike... engage, learn, embrace the truth about the earth's pancake-like appearance
Lizbot (host) 6:19:23 PM
@Stevie P - Those birds are getting to your mind! This was the TRUE menace of Hitchcock's The Birds, not some minor peckings!
stevie p 6:20:08 PM
@Lizbot... spoken like a true sphereist
stevie p 6:20:25 PM
A globeist
Mike Appelstein 6:20:30 PM
I bet he can fill me in on the Bildebergers too
Rob from Maryland 6:20:49 PM
@Mike, how come the edition is so small for these zines?
stevie p 6:21:14 PM
Mike, the code words, I've learned, to unlock The Truth are: procedure procedure procedure
Rob from Maryland 6:21:34 PM
and @Mike, no, don't engage him. You'll be better off interviewing Lizbot's catbird or stevie p's Carolina Wren
Rob from Maryland 6:22:02 PM
@stevie p, :-DDD
stevie p 6:22:16 PM
perhaps "Carolina Wren" in quotes is more accurate
Mike Appelstein 6:23:24 PM
It’s meant to be a low-key and sustainable enterprise, Rob. Sadly zines don’t sell much these days. I may increase the circ next time
stevie p 6:23:46 PM
what's your zine, Mike?
Lizbot (host) 6:24:03 PM
@Stevie P - I prefer globist. It's more dignified and globe
Mike Appelstein 6:24:35 PM
Silent Command - used to do Caught In Flux in the ‘90s
stevie p 6:24:47 PM
we flatties refer to them as globbies
stevie p 6:25:02 PM

@Unoclay - Nice! I've always wanted to go there. Seems geographically as beautiful and dramatic a landscape as Hawaii, like a cold Hawaii! My parents have been there and took amazing photos. I'd like to combine it with another visit to Ireland
Lizbot (host) 6:37:47 PM
@stevie p - I hate that term too, but we all seem to use it because everyone already knows what it means and it's more succinct than "things i wanna do before i die." We need a NEW TERM!
Lizbot (host) 6:38:31 PM
@Carlos Ramone - I am surprised (and pleased) i haven't spotted any spotted lantern flies in my yard yet this season
Number 6 6:40:50 PM
You need to stomp on them with extreme prejudice!
Number 6 6:41:07 PM
:)
Lizbot (host) 6:41:37 PM
@Number 6 - They are too big & sturdy to smash into my shoe! I have a smackin' stick on my deck
Carlos Ramone. 6:41:52 PM
@ Liz..I remember one ride I had to stop and wipe then off my tires as they were building up around my brake pads
Lizbot (host) 6:42:22 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Ew...but also GOOD. Kill
Lizbot (host) 6:42:44 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Bikes Kill Flies Dead, as the old ad slogan goes
Lizbot (host) 6:43:43 PM
@Number 6 / Carlos Ramone - It was DEEPLY satisfying to watch a spider whose web is on my kitchen window right behind my sink catch and devour a lantern fly. One wing still remains.
Number 6 6:44:39 PM
Yay for spiders!
Carlos Ramone. 6:44:54 PM
@ Liz..brings to mind an old pic of LA a punks with a sign that said “ Black Flag kills ants dead”..reference to Adam Ant shows in town
Number 6 6:45:12 PM
The one wing is a trophy no doubt.
stevie p 6:47:14 PM
@Carlos... I haven't been out on my bike yet this year. I haven't seen any lantern flies around my neighborhood. In previous years, they were everywhere
Lizbot (host) 6:47:40 PM
@Number 6 - Yes! I fear very few spiders (I realize i can say that cuz we don't have all that many deadly ones in southeastern PA! Maybe i SHOULD have been more fearful of the Wandering spider i almost stepped on in Costa Rica...
stevie p 6:48:15 PM
@Lizbot... another term i absolutely hate with a passion... jump the shark
Lizbot (host) 6:48:31 PM
@Number 6 - For real. Let that be a warning to all you lantern flies out there! Maybe that's why they've been steering clear of my house lately!
stevie p 6:48:32 PM
i know where it came from, although i never watched that tv show
Lizbot (host) 6:49:30 PM
@Carlos Ramone - I am hoping they've mysteriously died out from the regions they aren't indigenous to! Somehow...Maybe catbirds had a hand in it
stevie p 6:50:01 PM
maybe some local predator that likes to eat bugs wised up to the bounty right under their noses
stevie p 6:50:22 PM
it's all... procedure procedure procedure
Ossy 6:50:27 PM
scary and smelly
stevie p 6:50:34 PM
or so i hear when i walk outside
Lizbot (host) 6:51:35 PM
@Carlos Ramone - haha! Oh my god. I saw Adam Ant a few years back and these days he's looking like Captain Jack Sparrow. The mascara was melting down his face
Lizbot (host) 6:54:40 PM
@Stevie P - Just follow the procedure and ALL will be revealed! (I hope the reveal isn't one GIANT spotted lantern fly assembled out of all the little lantern flies, a la Captain Planet, that rears its hideous (well, actually theyre so cool-looking...) head at the end of the summer!
Lizbot (host) 6:59:27 PM
And the Birds Aren't Singing Anymore...cuz they're giving covert instructions instead!
Carlos Ramone. 7:01:52 PM
@ Liz…i quote Pee Wee Herman’s big adventure every day .
Carlos Ramone. 7:02:33 PM
Seeing him recently is very upsetting..much like seeing Adam Ant would be for you
Number 6 7:02:50 PM
The birds are AI creations, a new bar bet!
Ossy 7:03:34 PM
I was talking to someone yesterday of lanterflies get on my last nerves, and she hates them too a lot.
stevie p 7:05:33 PM
is it lanternfly season yet? i haven't seen one yet this year. i
Lizbot (host) 7:12:08 PM
@Unoclay - When my parents went to Iceland about 10 years ago, they took tours where guides talked about an ancient irish influence on icelandic folklore, which makes sense both geographically and when you think about the emphasis on trolls and fairy stories
Lizbot (host) 7:13:32 PM
@Carlos Ramone - As well you should! This event got ruined by the early days of the pandemic, but Pee Wee was supopsed to come to The Met for a live-scored screening of Pee Wee's Big Adventure, with Q&A afterwards. I love that movie so much
Stephen Bluhm (1) 7:14:12 PM
Keep thinking this is Robert Wyatt
Lizbot (host) 7:14:17 PM
@Carlos Ramone - haha, I follow him on social media but i haven't seen many not heavily touched-up recent photos of him!
Lizbot (host) 7:15:30 PM
@Number 6 - Oh NO! Some new fodder for the "Birds Aren't Real" folks. Pretty soon NOTHING will be real...except for WPRB and that Princeton-dwelling Flat Earther
Lizbot (host) 7:16:02 PM
@Ossy - I think they are very pretty, but they really need to all just die immediately!
Carlos Ramone. 7:17:11 PM
@ Liz..as Pee Wee was I am an avid bike rider..and evey time I go to garage t9 get bike I say..” I’m Here”
Lizbot (host) 7:18:20 PM
@Stephen Bluhm - oh yeah, Dawson definitely has a certain Robert Wyatt-like timbre to his voice and there can be some similarities drawn between their songwriting styles.
paul lanctot 7:19:49 PM
I like this song
Lizbot (host) 7:20:42 PM
@Carlos Ramone - If you haven't been before and ever find yourself in Pittsburgh, try to visit the enormous crazy museum/shop Bicycle Heaven! It's a really oddball fun place and they have one of the original stylized Schwinn Western Flyers from Pee Wee's Big Adventure!
Lizbot (host) 7:20:55 PM
Hi Paul Ianctot - I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Lizbot (host) 7:22:35 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Apparently the film had a few of the exact same bike
Lizbot (host) 7:23:36 PM
This song is brutal but gorgeous
Lizbot (host) 7:23:51 PM
Bonus:sweet sweet mellotron!
unoclay 7:24:35 PM
I can comprehend that Irish influence a little bit. We learned how the proliferation of Icelandic churches was basically a tax dodge offered to Iceland settlers. We also saw sheep and their babies running down the road for dinner earlier. Animals are the best
Carlos Ramone. 7:24:39 PM
@ Liz..too many lines from PW Hermans movie coming to mind..every time I miss something at work the bar scene comes to mind ..” nobody helped me to that “
Ossy 7:24:40 PM
So violently brutal
Carlos Ramone. 7:24:58 PM
Hepped
Number 6 7:25:14 PM
Reminds me of "I melt with you".
Lizbot (host) 7:25:58 PM
@Ossy - For real. David Berman of Purple Mountains/Silver Jews was capable of such startling honesty and beauty. Gone too soon.
Lizbot (host) 7:27:06 PM
@Number 6 - oh yes, well especially with that mellotron sound. I will always love a mellotron.
stevie p 7:27:44 PM
whenever i'm talking on the phone and somebody is making noise or interrupts me, i feel like yelling like PW... I'm ON THE PHONE!
Lizbot (host) 7:28:08 PM
@Carlos Ramone - I have a very talented friend who used to perfectly perform the whole TEQUILA! dance from the biker bar scene
Lizbot (host) 7:29:06 PM
@unoclay - I was in Ireland in 2019...SO.MANY.SHEEP. Ireland, Iceland and New Zealand you can get yrself a nice wool sweater just about anywhere in those places!
Carlos Ramone. 7:29:28 PM
@ Liz..both of my kids SO have questioned their upbringing after talking up the the movie so much
Carlos Ramone. 7:30:27 PM
I don’t blame the SO..I blame the parents for not e posing them
Lizbot (host) 7:31:18 PM
@unoclay - ha, churches as tax dodges...definitely an old trick. I remember the sugar plantations in Maui were started by missionaries from Boston who got the land for the church...then conveniently turned it into plantation!
Lizbot (host) 7:32:51 PM
@unoclay - Whenever I see a cute lamb hopping around I think of the "Lisa the Vegetarian" Simpsons episode scene with the succession of increasingly giant-eyed cute lambs, eliciting ever-more-enthusiastic "AWWWs," and Homer kicking the first one aside "Outta the way, you!"
Lizbot (host) 7:33:30 PM
@Stevie P - haha, DO IT. PW Herman- I wanna see a full-length version of THAT movie as well!
Carlos Ramone. 7:34:33 PM
@ Liz..Lisa says “ I made enough gazpacho for everybody”
Lizbot (host) 7:35:25 PM
@Carlos Ramone - I might have oversold PW's Big Adventure to my daughter before showing it to her when she was 8 and she still doesnt understand why i reference it all the time. Time to for another viewing!
Carlos Ramone. 7:35:36 PM
At the cook out in the episode
Lizbot (host) 7:37:52 PM
@Carlos Ramone - mmm, cold tomato soup!
Carlos Ramone. 7:39:07 PM
@ Liz.. many years later my daughter laughed at Simone saying to PW..” nobody gave it to me like that before” while in the dinosaur
Lizbot (host) 7:39:09 PM
@Carlos Ramone - I always laughed when Apu tells Lisa the tofu dogs are "only thrice the calories"! I was vegan for 20 years and I found that to be true - SO much vegan junk food...amongst the non-junk stuff
Lizbot (host) 7:40:45 PM
@Carlos Ramone - haha, that dino is my dream roadtrip! I LOVE the sun coming over the brontosaurus. Most magical scene!
unoclay 7:40:50 PM
Hey I am a veg myself and quote that ep alll the time, like once a week the gespacho served ice cold line. Wife is always yelling Don’t make friends with sAlad
Rob from Maryland 7:42:59 PM
@Mike, if you're still there, thanks for reprinting the first issue of Silent Command. I'm looking forward to reading all three issues!
Carlos Ramone. 7:43:40 PM
@ Liz.. daughter was in the area in southern cal and sent me card from there..Tell them Large Marge sent Ya..had nothing to do wit( scene but still a good li e
Lizbot (host) 7:46:17 PM
@unoclay - The best and most quotable episode for sure! Tripe! Courtesy of the Meat & Dairy Council
Lizbot (host) 7:48:58 PM
I can see this Sparks doing this song
Lizbot (host) 7:49:47 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Large Marge lives on forever in big rigs everywhere. She is eternal!
Brian D 7:53:50 PM
Great sounds as per the uzhe Lizbot! One of my fave moments on Simpsons is when they get a free sample in the mail. Homer sees the bottle of "Lemon Time" and drinks it right down. Marge says "Homer, that's dishwashing detergent!" Homer says, "Yeah but what are you gonna do?" - That was based on actual samples of lemon scented dish soap being sent in the mail and supposedly/urban legendy... people mistook it for lemon drink concentrate and tried to imbibe it. I remember getting the sample ....
Brian D 7:54:01 PM
... in the mail. I did not drink it. Neither did my mom or dad
Lizbot (host) 7:54:41 PM
Hi Brian D!
Brian D 7:54:55 PM
Spain is just brim full of great bands throughout the decades.
Number 6 7:56:54 PM
Thanks for the best Barge show ever, so far. BCNU!
Lizbot (host) 7:57:00 PM
@Brian D - Thanks! And OH no! Like Tide pods being mistaken for candy. Maybe the mysterious "Red Lemonade" in ireland is actually detergent! Would explain the flavor!
Lizbot (host) 7:57:08 PM
Thanks Number 61
Lizbot (host) 7:57:11 PM
6!
Brian D 7:57:51 PM
I loved my ugly yellow small Weber charcoal grill Simpsons Edition. Pic of Homer with the impossibly big shish-kebab of a whole ham leg, whole chicken, whole fish head-on, giant sausage etc... used it for decade plus. Rusted out.
Brian D 7:58:58 PM
winner winner dinner sunset here in Bucks Co
Ossy 7:59:32 PM
🌟🌠💛🌟🌠💛🌟🌠💛🌟🌠💛🌟🌠💛🌟🌠💛
Brian D 7:59:37 PM
Just say it Irish style, "The Feckin Champs"
Lizbot (host) 7:59:52 PM
'Night, Ossy!
Rob from Maryland 8:00:03 PM
Thanks for the show Lizbot, and watch out for catbirds and Carolina Wrens!
Lizbot (host) 8:00:44 PM
@Brian D - gotta jam a comically large Renaissance Fair turkey leg in there!
Lizbot (host) 8:01:41 PM
Thanks for hanging, Rob! Thank you for being vigilant! Our man on the scene in Greater Baltimore, checking those dastardly birds in check!
Lizbot (host) 8:01:49 PM
@Brian D - haha, tempting!
stevie p 8:02:21 PM
Liz, it's spelled Turkey Legge, IIRC from teh only ren faire i went to
stevie p 8:02:39 PM
never doign that again
Lizbot (host) 8:03:52 PM
@Stevie P - I stand corrected! My pronunciation doesnt stand on one turkey legge!
Lizbot (host) 8:05:49 PM
@Stevie P - I never intend of returning to a Ren Faire after the one i was dragged to as a kid and the depressing Orlando, Fl Medieval Times my senior class trip was forced to eat dinner at! I was vegetarian and could not get anything but "mutton" and "mead" (really just nasty mountain dew)
