I never had MTV as a kid so have a big missing chunk of pop culture

seeing 120 Minutes at other people's houses was a highlight though

my first college house, one of the roomates insisted we get cable. Something I never had growing up. 120 minutes was a weekly weekend party highlight.

I was having a great time in the car from Mini Skirt on. Took the "long way" home to enjoy more show.

Also did not have MTV as a kid. My parents got the cable package that only provided the local channels available with a better over the air tuner.

I think the rotation times on MTV was around 120 minutes. I think you got plenty Jen. lol

I only miss local access on basic cable. That shit was unreal. Just the best ever.

There was stuff on in Seattle that was mind blowing when I really got into it.

Took forever for our local "cable company" (remember them) to get MTV. Had to hear about it or watch on other friends', relatives ' tv's that lived in mtv cabled-up areas. Finally came to Lower Bucks Cablevsion around 1983-1984

Austin is my only favorite city in Texas and I lived in TX for many years.

i've never been! but I was in houston last week and am pretty sure I have no need to return anytime soon.

I don't like Houston. I have great friends in Tomball close to there, but the humidity is horrible.
