This one is more about Allen Klein and ABKCO. He (of Beatle breakup fame) was the instigator

The press and headlines were all incorrectly blaming Mick & Keef only but Klein is the reason for the whole thing. The Stones gave him all publishing for the big early albums (but i believe J/R still get songwriting credits if that's how it works...). But ya Klein ABKCO owns the early stuff
