@Mike Tropiano - Same! It was slowing down for the past few years, had a little delay and you could literally hear it struggling a bit, but it still served me well on countless roadtrips and flights. I'm so mad Apple discontinued the iPod, amongst other things

@Number 6 - oh yeah, I never had Zune, but I have friends who have bought retooled iPods. one of the problems is that it needs to be compatible with whatever version of iTunes, which isn't even iTunes anymore, but "Apple Music" or whatever! They just wanna make everyone stream so they made it hard to play pre-owned MP3s, along with forcing us all to buy a million dongles...

@Rofflestomp - haha, thankfully the small apartment building I lived in in my 20s had all equally loud neighbors so none of us complained! I had a sleeping loft, so slept very close to the ceiling and the neighbor directly above me worked the late shift as an EMS worker and used to come home at 3 or 4 AM and start rearranging his furniture to house music!

@DSM - and YET, Helena can answer with tunes for both!

There was one on my old block that loved to keep tabs on everyone and collect gossip so I avoided her like the plague

@Rofflestomp - I have one awful neighbor, but for the most part my block is pretty chill. New next door neighbors moved in a year and a half ago and they LOVE to party and have loud outdoor parties, so I don't feel bad if I occasionally play music in the yard or watch a movie outside on the portable screen

Ha! Yeah Luigi in Mario 2 always felt "slippery". Fluttered all over like a dumbass made me lol, that is a great way to put it

mp3 player history: years after they came out , I found the Sansa Fuze+ on eBay. Bought a couple 16GB ones real cheap (less than $20 ea). And an 8GB one later. And all have added storage capabilities w/the micro SD slot (but that does slow the load up... ). I still like the look of them. Use them occasionally. Going back in time. They sound great. Drag & drop files in them. Easy easy easy

@Ossy - I had an emulator on my old iMac in the early 2000s that had Mario, mario 2, a buncha other original NES stuff. That got taken down, but now I have an NES someone hacked to make it play hundreds of games. It's not one of the old og NES consoles, it's one of those mini ones from a few years back that was meant to just have a few games on it

@MAry - apparently ppl are castrated and lobotomized, but that's all I know...plus pirates? and ice? Ask George! He always tells me how he got freaked out by the castration. He asked his step-mom what was happened and she phrased it "It's when your "goodies" get cut off" and that never left him!

@Lizbot I’m actually stretching our time limit to include Eraserhead, a film I’ve been terrified of watching since I was a kid. It will be covered.

@Dennisons - I have not! I don't know about George. I loved The Naked Gun 2 1/2 as a kid, but I am pretty sure it wouldnt hold up! George actually made a song about the Krell from another Leslie Nielsen movie, Forbidden Planet

@Mary Jones - Nice! PhilaMOCA arranged a screening of it in a dark tunnel in the Eraserhood a couple years ago. It was dark and freezing out. That's not how I want to die

@Mary/ Dennisons - A late 80s movie my brother & I liked, Short Time with Dabney Coleman, I am positive didn't hold up well. Even the main plot point is pretty crass!
