@ Commie Francis (host) Thanks SO much for playing the Edith Piaf selection. I adore her singing. As you may know, she was affectionately nicknamed "La môme Piaf" -- the Little Sparrow -- as a play on her last name, but also because she was a small woman, about 4'10' ... and yet (as you just heard) such a powerful and beautiful vibrato would come out of her.

Liking this Richard Thompson!

yeah one thing i've learned from doing this show is he has been making quality music quite recently!

During lockdown I watched some of Richard Thompson's live streams, and he played songs from throughout his entire career and everything was totally great, but and I was like "I need to hear all his albums", but I still haven't gone beyond the early 80s.

i don't even have those richard and linda thompson ones!

I also really need to see Richard Thompson live before it's too late. I've had many chances over the years.

Shoot out the Lights is one of my faves of Richard and Linda's

I kind of think of Black Blackout Vacant as the last good Poison Idea record, but I think there is only those Religion and Politics eps and the We Must Burn lp are the only records after that til the broke up for about a decade

that seems like a reasonable assertion to me!
