@ Isadora (host) Hey, thanks for the tidbit about JHan & Dean's "Fun Fun Fun" (which I think is actually better than the Beach Boys version) was from an LP released in 1971 by K-Tel Records. For younger WPRB listeners who might not know, K-Tel made gazillions on a duel strategy of 1) licensing and repackaging older big hits into compilation albums and 2) promoting them on late-nite TV where ad rates were low but viewers still numerous.

How many awesome old sci-fi, monster and adventure movies (many marvelously cheesy!) did I watch on late-nite shows bouyed by K-Tel ads. And the K-Tel offers were typically for entire LP packages, with the off-camera announcer's immortal enthusing, "But wait! There's more! If you order right now, you'll also get ... Operaters are standing by!" ;-))

Sorry, shoulda been a "dual" strategy. But K-Tel did out-duel its oldies re-releasing rivals.

I read about a fan made recreation of Frontier Psychiatrist... crazy labor of love. Have not checked it out prob on yt. And read about how the original Avalanches version changed in diff later releases due to samples etc
