I keep meaning to come back to his remake of Charade, which I was fascinated by even though it didn't totally succeed. (Charade is a favorite, played the theme before I got married.)

Back to Elvis director- I’ve never seen a mass walk out of a packed theater like I did after 10 minutes opening night of Moulin Rouge. Astonishing!

It was bold of Sparks’ Ron Mael to revive the toothbrush mustache which was a popular style until that German guy ruined it for everybody (e.g., Charlie Chaplin, Oliver Hardy, Max Fleischer, J. Jonah Jameson).

A friend worked on a Baz project and it sounded like...quite the experience. Wildly over-budget, production often halted while the director followed a different muse for a few weeks, etc....

Toulouse-Lautrec was my kinda guy.

If you haven't played it yet during Filmscape, how's 'bout "I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song" from Walt Disney's 1967 version of The Jungle Book ? The song features Prima as King Louie of the monkeys and Phil Harris as Baloo the Bear: two old entertainment pros at the top of their games!

You should watch it again. Spastic editing beginning to end, predictably. Most goofy assed film I’ve ever sat through.
