The two Fly or Die records are sensational and her work in Anteloper is also super.

DSM, I don't think I fully appreciated Jason Molina's music while he was alive for example. I was a listener but it didn't connect with me the way it does now.

That was my first time hearing her and it was amazing. 39 is way too young.

Any one have insight on why the Chats seem to not like playing in Philadelphia? Saw them at the foundry and they just plowed through the set

Absolutely, no encore and It was the first time I’ve witness a band spit into the crowd. Not sure if it was one specific fan, but they weren’t thrilled to be there

Lithics were a good band. It is indeed a shame.

Def has that MBV guitar bend, but it also reminds me of something else when its not doing that, too. The song that sounds like a bunch of songs perhaps.

I'd noticed a couple older lithics releasees added to Bandcamp, but didn't realize they'd called it quits. Solid band.

I've had LOBSTER ice cream on cape cod - it was butter based ice cream with real frozen lobster chunks mixed in. def recommend trying, but would probably not get it again lol. the lobster thawing/melting in your mouth was interesting, but it being frozen was a bit of an odd texture, let alone the brain confusion

Chef, any thoughts on The Bear?

Roasted corn ice cream at The Bent Spoon is terrific.

I was going to ask if it was hard pretzels or philly soft pretzel pieces

That is who I asked to make the mustard ice cream better for me. They're up to the challenge, apparently have made a similar batch for a party years back...

Recently had corn ice cream at Shady Brook Farms, it was great

Portland's Salt and Straw ice cream shop has seasonal turkey and gravy. My personal favorite is pear and blue cheese.

Salt and Straw is good stuff. Had it when in Oregon in 2018.

That's sort of the Toronto traffic problem, but with Lake Ontario to the south.

Towards Tillamook. just before the coastal range. only one way in and out for the most part.

Only have been to Toronto once, but it is world class imho.
