In a weird way I wished it was twice as long. Seemed like a lot of the best material from the trailer / deleted scenes were left out of the movie proper.

Funny that edits could have made for a greater film. I’ve seen that with other films.

Yeah. About 1/4 of the way in I realized that whatever bar I had set for it would not be reached. My friend Ike is a huge PTA fan and he said his peers have been like a 40/60 split of didn't connect with / loved.

I sometimes confuse John Hurt with the actors John Heard and William Hurt, as well as the bluesman Mississippi John Hurt.
