Hi C!
Christine 7:29:51 AM
Good morning, Dave the Obscure 😶‍🌫️, Roffle, Fusionhead, and TAndy. 😎
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:29:52 AM
I have also heard this style of ambient made by Trey Gunn (another disciple of Fripp), and David Torn.
TAndy 7:30:45 AM
Good morning Fusionhead and Christine. I agree, this Sylbian & Fripp piece sounds like space church music.
TAndy 7:32:06 AM
Typo, keeping it.
Sylbian & Fripp did some really cool stuff.
Christine 7:37:33 AM
RIP Klaus. 🪐
So many Fripp collaborations were very nice. His Daryl Hall and Roaches productions are virtually unknown outside of this treasure trove of WPRB.
TAndy 7:39:07 AM
Dave, Music with Space isn't for another 14 hours and 21 minutes. But I am rather enjoying this.
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:40:51 AM
Space music is another of my main interests. But I don't air much of it because Michael Hunter does such a great job.
TAndy 7:42:17 AM
I don't think anyone would complain about a space music show from you. Number 6 did a good job pregameing for Mike two weeks ago, and Tim with his occasional space rock too.
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:42:27 AM
@ Rofflestomp, A dose of Fripp always seems to elevate any project. 🎸
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:43:50 AM
Oh yeah, Number 6 has a great collection of space music.
Yea, Philly was the real start of that full on space vibe. I used to love XPN back in the day prier to really just losing it once they moved from the old house to the new place. I could walk up stairs and see bands interviewed back then. lol
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:47:31 AM
When commenting on the death of Florian Fricke, Klaus Schulze wrote "Today I realize that dedicated musicians from those days, like ourselves, live on borrowed time from the age of 50... But what we have created makes up for spending less time on this planet."
Not sure what I have created in life, But I sure am glad everyone dabbed a color here and there.

Morning, DSM 🍩
Hi DSM! How do you guys wake up so early so easily? It's like you've been doing it for years. Oh....
Brian D 8:32:01 AM
That Codona was wonderful. Cherry did so many diverse things. Walcott & Vasconcelos.
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:32:52 AM
Their name could have been Docona. Or Nadoco.
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:34:20 AM
Or using their last names: Chwava.
DSM 8:35:32 AM
That’s the 3rd time in this week that I’ve taken note of Don Cherry being played on Prb, I really gotta delve into the 🍒, great stuff
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:36:41 AM
@ DSM, 🎺 certainly a unique trumpeter and composer.
I drove back up Chestnut last night on my bike and someone was playing vibes. Not a 55gal drum, but it reminded me of it.
DSM 8:36:56 AM

RIO makes a conscious effort to stray from the corporate 4/4 beats.

That was fiery

ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 9:12:29 AM
You can't find the song? I'm surprised, TAndy. I did not expect Eclat to be too obscure.
TAndy 9:13:15 AM
This specific version no, the music services only have this song from a live album, in which this song is played at a faster tempo based on the 30 second sample I could hear.
DSM 9:13:22 AM
Lovin' this Eclat. Makes me feel like I'm waking up and looking out over the San Pedro harbor, before I head out and chase some crime
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 9:15:20 AM
TAndy, I have to keep reminding myself I dwell in an alternate universe, where musicianship is appreciated. I forget, sometimes, where I actually live.
TAndy 9:15:51 AM
The cheapest listing for "Volume 3" on Discogs is going for $12 not including shipping. This song shall elude me for some time unless I find it through other means.
