Lizbot (host) 5:01:42 PM
I’m down the shore but on the air and looking at Barnegat Bay at the moment
Brian D 5:02:11 PM
Deja vu .... preview of your show happened earlier due to some tech gremlins
Lizbot (host) 5:02:47 PM
Hi Brian D! Whoa! Crazy!
Brian D 5:03:38 PM
Heard the Laurie at begin of Ahab Desert Cruising yeah. Then they got it all sorted
Lizbot (host) 5:03:41 PM
I prerecorded for this week due to shore vacation, so I’m chatting by the bay, listening back to show I made a week and a half ago!
Lizbot (host) 5:04:30 PM
@Brian D- 😆 everyone was prob surprised to hear Laurie on Desert Cruising.
Lizbot (host) 5:05:42 PM
I never prerecord except when I’m away on vacation and don’t have a sub. I got down the shore last Tuesday night but didn’t want to do a sub two consecutive weeks, so Tobias filled in last Thursday and I made this one before leaving for trip.
Lizbot (host) 5:06:12 PM
To be clear: NOT a shore-themed show this week! I did that in June the first time I got down the shore for the season
morgy ramone 5:07:04 PM

Hi Lizbot! LBI area sounding good about now. :)

Gah, I told myself I was turning off my work computer after Sparks. But I guess I need to stick around for this killer Cheer-Accident cover
Dan Ruccia 5:20:17 PM
Also, hi everyone!
Brian D 5:20:23 PM
Heard the OG Cheap Trick version on WPRB a few weeks back and it is so exact in tone and execution. Then there's that bridge!
Lizbot (host) 5:22:28 PM
Hi Dan! I LOVE this bridge so much.
Brian D 5:23:14 PM
Something tells me Rick, Robin, Bun & Tom love this version.
Wes Steenson 5:23:14 PM
And there is the obligatory Sparks track. Whoever had 1st half-hour on your DoublePlus Sparks bingo card, winner.
Lizbot (host) 5:23:41 PM
@Brian D & @Dan R- There is a video of Cheer-Accident performing this! They are one of my favorite bands to see live- ALWAYS up to all sorts of tricky shenanigans!
Lizbot (host) 5:24:19 PM
Hi Wes! ⚡️ True! And if you got Laurie too, you are well on your way to winning
Dan Ruccia 5:24:47 PM
They're playing in Durham next week, but I'll be on vacation, so I have to miss em
Brian D 5:24:49 PM
I love that Cheap Trick had a little bit in the Mission of Burma documentary. They gave Burma lots of love. Were really happy they reunited.
Brian D 5:25:42 PM

Lizbot (host) 5:31:03 PM
@Dan R - Nice! I saw they’re playing dates in the south. I am bummed they’re not coming to Philly this time. We put them up in our house when they come
Wes Steenson 5:31:23 PM
But - does the guitarist for Cheer-Accident toss whatever guitar they’re playing over the amp stack every 2nd or 3rd song?
Lizbot (host) 5:31:26 PM
@Rofflestomp - 😆
Wes Steenson 5:33:48 PM
Lizbot (host) 5:34:15 PM
@Brian D - I saw Mission of Burma when they first reunited in the Coney Island Siren Fest in 2004! Great show!
DSM 5:35:10 PM
Lizbot!! You getting Kelly’s for din?
Lizbot (host) 5:36:06 PM
Hi DSM! Perhaps…but might hear the siren call of Chicken or the Egg 🐓
DSM 5:37:18 PM
The Chegg! I think def a better call, last time i had Kelly’s it was pretty bad tbh haha, but i still will eat there for nostalgia purposes
Lizbot (host) 5:38:33 PM
@Wes - 😆, Cheer-Accident have SO many tricks on stage- they have been known to (and I’ve witnessed this several times) recreate a locked groove, but live on staye, for Impossibly LONG time with DEADPAN faces
Lizbot (host) 5:41:00 PM
@DSM - yeah, same (re: Kelly’s.) I’ve gone in there to pee after buying a drink when hanging at Old Barney’s jetty after the municipal restrooms close, but that’s the most business I’ve given Kelly’s in recent years!
Ossy Hyouka 5:42:13 PM

Lizbot (host) 5:42:55 PM
Hello Ossy!
Ossy Hyouka 5:44:03 PM
Desert Cruising + Good, indeed
Lizbot (host) 5:44:04 PM
@Ossy - I played some fun Japanese stuff you’d prob like early in the show today! kindan no Tasuketsu and Base Ball Bear from the movie “Linda Linda Linda”!
Lizbot (host) 5:44:49 PM
@Ossy - 😆 “heatwave evening”! True for Philly, but thankfully not so much down the shore where I am right now. Got a crazy storm last night though
Lizbot (host) 5:45:52 PM
@DSM - Re: CHEGG - Did you see they have a location in Marlton now? Plus they expanded their LBI location into the storefront next door. CHEGG EMPIRE 🐓 🥚 🥚 🍳
Ossy Hyouka 5:53:27 PM
Kawaii awesome Liz and yeah sure was a smelly bee infested heatwave for sure, especially for Ohilly. I didn't hear the storm, since I was dead asleep, but saw the aftermath, this early morning, Liz!
Brian D 5:54:46 PM
Lizbot (host) 5:55:25 PM
@Ossy - smelly bee-infested! Yeah, I think my plants probably died while I’ve been away 😞. They haven’t been able to handle this summer!
Lizbot (host) 5:55:56 PM
@Brian D - It sounds like Mark E Smith says “Blows his nose on lost calzones” in that one part!
DSM 5:56:18 PM
Damn Chegg is out of control! What’s the pancake place on lbi that has a pig mascot and when you eat in there they move it from table to table like it’s eating with you? Last time i went it was off season and they still moved the pig around, but like just to empty tables was bizarre lol
Lizbot (host) 5:58:24 PM
@Brian D - Weird & Frightening World Of The Fall had Draygo’s Guilt on it too, and that was my first Fall purchase ever, at about 15 years old, and it kicked off a fervent Fall record purchase-a-thon throughout my teens
Lizbot (host) 5:58:40 PM
@DSM - Uncle Will’s Pancake House!
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:01:41 PM
Howdy everyone
Lizbot (host) 6:02:46 PM
@DSM - 😂 🥞 🐖 Uncle Will’s is the only restaurant I’ve encountered that has a Marc Chagall reference on their menu! “Marc Pigall” 🤷🏻‍♀️ I appreciate their many takes on eggs Benedict
Ossy Hyouka 6:02:48 PM
My lawn is yellow from the sun, which I see cicada wasps on those changed grassfields, Liz! Poor plants :(
Lizbot (host) 6:02:52 PM

Hey Rob!
DSM 6:03:29 PM
Lol I knew you would know what I was talking about! 🐷🥞
Lizbot (host) 6:04:38 PM
@Rob - How’s Maryland faring in the recent heat? I assume you got slammed with the same heatwave Philly experienced this week? I hope birds are coping okay
Brian D 6:04:46 PM
Better Off Dead
DSM 6:05:11 PM
Thats a menu reference you don’t see often, ever, for sure!
Brian D 6:05:39 PM
EG is also in the recently oft mentioned in chat 80s flick "Valley Girl"
Lizbot (host) 6:06:15 PM
@Ossy - Same. My yard usually fares pretty well in the summer without needing watering. My grass and all my ferns are dry and crispy. My flowers are looking sad. I hope it all recovers!
Lizbot (host) 6:06:52 PM
@Brian D - Indeed! And I was just watching EG Daly in Valley Girl last week! Gonna show Hattie that one soon
Lizbot (host) 6:07:27 PM
@Brian D - haha, didn’t see yr last comment!
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:07:37 PM
Hi Lizbot & Ossy! Maryland had a ****-ton of rain yesterday. The town of Riverdale got up to/more than 3.5 inches or so in ~75 minutes on Wednesday. Some 48 hours after the exact same thing happened on Monday (3.5" in 75 min.). Riverdale is flat.
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:08:29 PM
My neighborhood "only" got 1 to 1.5 inches in 45 to 60 minutes, though it continued to rain lightly for hours
Lizbot (host) 6:08:44 PM
@Brian D - PRB chatters/listeners Mary & Dennis have an excellent movie podcast, Mary Vs The Movies, and they covered Valley Girl recently with Jon Solomon as guest
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:09:25 PM
@Lizbot, yes, we've had 95+ degree days just like Philly. Today it was only 85, tomorrow it might not hit 80.
The closing song from Better off Dead 'Just one look', is an all time fav for sure.
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:10:19 PM
I'll gladly go back in time and ship you in the Philly area our rain from the past month
Ossy Hyouka 6:10:35 PM
Nice, Buttercup and Tommy in WPRB!
Lizbot (host) 6:10:35 PM
@Rofflestomp - That song is so good too. I love that movie! My kid showed it on an outdoor inflatable yard screen for her 12th birthday! None of the kids had heard of it but some of the parents remembered it
I absolutely loved that movie. Nice treat for the grown ups. :)
Lizbot (host) 6:12:05 PM
@Rofflestomp & Brian D. - I just showed my kid Say Anything for the first time this week while down the shore and she is OBSESSED now. Caught her rewatching it TWICE. She downloaded Peter Gabriel In Your Eyes. She loves that ending.
Lizbot (host) 6:12:22 PM
(Speaking of John Cusack WRT Better Off Dead, etc)
Lizbot (host) 6:12:51 PM
@Roffle - Yea! A couple parents hadn’t seen Better Off Dead since it came out
Lizbot (host) 6:13:49 PM
@Ossy - Yea! E.G. is queen of cartoon voiceover work! PLUS of course DOTTY in Peewee’s Big Adventure
Ossy Hyouka 6:14:13 PM
I often get confused with John's sister, Joan Cusack(Jessie from Toy Story and the blond scary psycho murderess from Addams Family 2!)
I can hardly walk past a news stand without thinking "2 Dollars!" EG daily did the power Puff girls.
Lizbot (host) 6:15:11 PM
@Rob In Maryland - Yikes!! The storm here was crazy on the bay last night! High winds woke me up at 4 am. We had left a window slightly cracked and the wind was whistling like mad
Ossy Hyouka 6:16:05 PM
I can't also unhear Tommy in Buttercup's voice and vice versa, LOL. Same for Chuckie Finster and Dexter!
Ossy Hyouka 6:17:12 PM
Plus Liz, Tara Strong, another veteran iconic voice of so many chars like Timmy Turner, Bubbles, Raven, Princess Melody(Ariel's daughter) and etc!
Lizbot (host) 6:17:26 PM
@Rob - Re: Maryland’s rain - YES, PLEASE! My brown crunchy plants want that retroactively! 😭 🌱
Ossy Hyouka 6:17:32 PM
and Ashi from Samurai Jack!
Lizbot (host) 6:18:21 PM
@Ossy - I love Joan! She also voiced Peep from Peep and the Big Wide World, which was a sweet cartoon on PBS Kids when my daughter was little
Lizbot (host) 6:20:41 PM
@Ossy - Joan is in so many of John’s movies! I loved her as his homebase point person in Grosse Point Blank too! Plus- I like the radio DJ plot in that! That movie took place during a high school reunion that happened the year I graduated
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:20:52 PM
@Lizbot, yikes also! I saw rain clouds along the southern Jersey coast on a regional radar when I got up at 5:30 this morning and I was wondering if there had been actual storms.
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:21:35 PM
@Lizbot, here comes the rain. It's Maryland rain, made in Maryland, to paraphrase Laurie Anderson
Ossy Hyouka 6:22:04 PM
I havent seen Peep Peep, but looking at it is very cute! I saw John's name in the Disney-like movie, Anastasia as Dimitri, the now Russian Prince! Forgot he was him!
Lizbot (host) 6:26:32 PM
@Ossy - Oh wow, I love John so much. Didn’t know he did much voiceover, unlike his sister, but I never saw Anastasia. My husband watched Samurai Jack back in the day! I saw a little bit of it. The art in that reminds me a little of Charly Harper’s art
Ossy Hyouka 6:29:33 PM
Reminds me too of something serene, Samurai Jack art, like Zelda Wind Waker. Another mass voice actress like Tara Strong, Grey De Liseile is in it and iconic others like Avatar, Fairly Oddparents, Billy-Mandy etc
Lizbot (host) 6:30:23 PM
@Rob - oh yeah- big storm! After Wednesday afternoon’s predicted rain didn’t pan out, it all hit late last night. The porch and everything on it was soaked, even though it’s covered by a roof
Lizbot (host) 6:33:05 PM
@Rob - Haha, I am hearing that in Laurie’s voice now! Maryland rain, made in Maryland…on a plane in Spain From the Air
Lizbot (host) 6:33:37 PM
@Robb- The Besnard Lakes track I played ended up being fitting 🌧
Brian D 6:34:48 PM
Saw the unedited High Fidelity w/the deleted scene w/ Beverly D’Angelo. Cusack goes to her house b/c she is selling her ex's 45 collection. That belonged in the orig.
Lizbot (host) 6:38:58 PM
@Brian D - I read High Fidelity when that came out and enjoyed the Americanized movie of it and the casting and music choices. I laughed when Cusack “will now sell [x # of] records” and then put on one of my all-time favorite Stereolab songs that I often got inquiries about when I played it on air, Lo Boob Oscillator
Rob from Maryland 🌻 🇺🇦 🦀 6:40:46 PM
@Lizbot, the Besnard Lakes album title is wonderful too
Lizbot (host) 6:41:05 PM
@Brian D - Did you watch the High Fidelity series from a couple years ago, with a gender flip on the roles? I was skeptical at first but LOVED IT and was crushed when it was cancelled after only one season. And of course it started Zoe Kravitz, Lisa Bonet’s daughter, to tie it into the original movie
Lizbot (host) 6:41:37 PM
@Rob - I like staying that one on air! ☔️ ⛈
Brian D 6:41:51 PM
Liz the quote was " I will now sell five copies of "The Three EPs" by The Beta Band. " And then he played "Dry The Rain"
At least there was Loudermilk. lol
Brian D 6:43:27 PM
Yeah the Zoe K show was pretty good.
Lizbot (host) 6:44:40 PM
@Brian D - Yes! That was another album I bought and played a lot in my dorm room, but at another point he plays Lo Boob Oscillator - switched the scenes in my head but remembered Beta Band scene too!
Brian D 6:45:16 PM
The "Excuse me, is this Stereolab?" scene is when someone recognized him from being a deejay
Lizbot (host) 6:47:21 PM
@Brian D - That show had so much unexplored potential! I REALLY wanted the Cherise story to unfold more in depth in season 2 and I had read that that was the plan before it got cancelled.
Lizbot (host) 6:47:59 PM
@Brian D - ah, yea! And Parker Posey played the Beverly D’Angelo character selling off her cheating husband’s coveted collection
Brian D 6:49:35 PM
Yeah they recreated that Bev D'Angelo scene with Parker in the show. In the film version it seems like the implication is Tim Robbins' character is the husband in question. And Rob being Rob makes the decision to....
Lizbot (host) 6:51:26 PM
@Rofflestomp - I still gotta check out Loudermilk, but I liked Ron Livingston in Office Space! Haven’t seen him in much since!
Brian D 6:54:29 PM
Maybe first time I saw John Cusack in film was a small part in "Class" . Rob Lowe & Andrew McCarthy of the so called brat pack are the leads. Cusack is smoking cigs in the dorm hallway and almost gets caught. But effortlessly reverses the lit cig butt into his mouth obscuring it
Ossy Hyouka 6:55:30 PM
Nice to go techno like Pax and Rosasolis
Brian D 6:55:31 PM
Found it. Looks like a baby... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShQykSdRQbA
@Lizbot, the first season of Loudermilk is positively brilliant with a ton of wit. Highly recommended for sure.
Lizbot (host) 6:59:34 PM
@Ossy - energizes the middle of the show! Plus I LOVE that gnarly YMO 1000 knives track and Fear-E 🐝 I think follows it well, IMHO!
Ossy Hyouka 6:59:42 PM
Rob Lowe, like John's sister, he too was involved in Disney stuff like Simba in Lion Guard
Lizbot (host) 7:00:39 PM
@Ossy - I had no idea!
Brian D 7:02:41 PM
Livingston was in Boardwalk Empire one season. Very southern gent detective. And I saw him in a good indie film about a people that work in a brewery Drinking Buddies. His character did not work there.
Lizbot (host) 7:02:42 PM
@Rofflestomp - I gotta check that out! I’ll add it to my list! Always looking for new shows
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 7:03:17 PM
Peeps! Hello!
Lizbot (host) 7:03:33 PM
@Brian D - I know he was, but I just couldn’t get into that show despite the Jersey Shore content. I love Buscemi but felt he was miscast
Lizbot (host) 7:03:37 PM
Hi Addie!!

Hey Lizbot- just finishing up programming Recherché- and I heard a sitar!!! How are you?
Ossy Hyouka 7:04:43 PM
Also, Gabrielle Union is Nala in the Lion Guard(a middle story of Lion King 2, between Simba and Zira's first encounter and before Kiara and Kovu become young adults) Lion Guard is about Simba's son
Brian D 7:04:46 PM
I would recommend you revisit Boardwalk. Very well done. I liked how Buscemi was not the usual tough, big, strong org crime guy. Used the brains and poliitcal power. Based on some real people.
Ossy Hyouka 7:05:00 PM
Hi Readie!!
Readie Righteous 7:05:12 PM
Hey Ossy!
Lizbot (host) 7:05:51 PM
@Addie - How’re yr animals doin’? Has the kid been drawing lately?
Readie Righteous 7:05:54 PM
A bear was spotted in Princeton and a coyote in my neck of the woods...
Lizbot (host) 7:05:58 PM
Hi Readie!
Readie Righteous 7:06:20 PM
Hey Lizbot! Long time no see!
Lizbot (host) 7:07:18 PM
@Readie - Good because I’m down the shore. Wasn’t doing great the first day here, but the ocean has revived me! Though the water’s been colder than usual, despite the high temps back home. Mercifully missed this latest heatwave! I hope you’re faring well!
Ossy Hyouka 7:07:36 PM
I'm assuming it's a black bear, which they invaded Burlington County as well. A coyote? Never heard of one near or in NJ
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 7:07:39 PM
Animals are good, Lizbot! The kid has been drawing like a maniac. And she’s going to real school for the first time this year!
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 7:08:29 PM
Coyotes love densely populated areas @ossy! Lots of trash to scavenge.
Readie Righteous 7:08:32 PM
Hey Liz,- no better place for healing than the ocean imho! Glad you're feeling better!!! This heat is a killer!
Readie Righteous 7:09:10 PM
Though today there was actually a cool breeze early on... very nice so I took a walk...first time in ages!!
Lizbot (host) 7:09:11 PM
@Readie - Yikes! 🐻 Was the bear playing baseball? ⚾️ (See the 3rd song of today’s show)
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 7:09:36 PM
Bears in my town, too, Readie!
Lizbot (host) 7:09:43 PM
@Readie - We’ve been getting more coyotes and coydogs out in the Wissahickon woods near me lately
Readie Righteous 7:10:29 PM
Haha!!! A bear playing baseball!! Well, one thing I know is the Phightin' Phils are doing phenomenally lately!
Ossy Hyouka 7:10:38 PM
Like raccoons and foxes, scary Addie! True that coyotes are brave enough to hang in urban areas, even in cities.
Lizbot (host) 7:10:39 PM
@Ossy - Glad to hear it, re: the pets! I hope she has a great school year!
Readie Righteous 7:11:14 PM
Oh no, Addie! Bears in Vermont!! Theyre everywhere!;-)
Readie Righteous 7:11:53 PM
Never heard of a "coydog", Lizbot!!!!
Lizbot (host) 7:12:25 PM
@Addie / Readie / Ossy - My parents just got back from a week on Lake Dunmore in Vermont on Sunday and they had a black bear very near their cabin, looking for tasty hooman foods
Ossy Hyouka 7:12:32 PM
Up north NJ, where have some family there, there's a hell ton of bears, due to being more forested, even brown and grizzly bears
Lizbot (host) 7:12:57 PM
@Ossy - there was even a coyote in Central Park a few years ago! I saw an oddball puppet play about it!
Readie Righteous 7:12:58 PM
Wow, I didn't realize how many bears are around!
Ossy Hyouka 7:13:28 PM
Never too heard of coydogs in NJ, but it's true they're capable of breeding with dogs like wolves. Coywolves also exist in general.
Readie Righteous 7:13:53 PM
Oh, man, Lizbot! a puppet play about A Central Park coyote! I cannot "bear" it!!! yikes
Readie Righteous 7:14:37 PM
@Osssy, I didn't know about coywolves either!
Lizbot (host) 7:14:41 PM
@Readie - Half dog, half coyote, as you might’ve guessed. In fact, the Wolf Sanctuary in Lititz, PA which Hattie always raises money for has SEVERAL half Samoyeds (what our dog Nuala is) half wolves!!! Sammies already look very wolfy, but these hybrids look extra wolffish
Ossy Hyouka 7:15:24 PM
Skunks are an ack, to see, especially at night!
Readie Righteous 7:15:31 PM
@Lizbot- totally cool! Nuala is so beautiful! Hi to Nuala!
Readie Righteous 7:16:04 PM
I love this Tod Lippy!
Lizbot (host) 7:16:44 PM
I don’t mind black bears. I’ve encountered them many times in VT, ME and NY, and they seem chill, just as long as they’re aren’t cubs nearby that I accidentally step near! but I NEVER EVER wanna encounter a Grizzly! Memories of Grizzly Man documentary…😬
Lizbot (host) 7:17:03 PM
@Readie - Yeah! Pretty and reminds me of certain chill Eno tracks
Readie Righteous 7:17:19 PM
@Liz- so true!!!
Lizbot (host) 7:17:44 PM
@readie - Nuala is sleeping next to me at the moment. She loves the shore. Wears her out, running on the beach at night!
Ossy Hyouka 7:18:26 PM
One agricultural fair, I saw dogs of wolf descent and I think wolfdogs on display by some dog-wofl sacuary. They had people take pictures with them in a closed cage, but I'll rather view them from outside at safe distance, lmao
Readie Righteous 7:18:47 PM
@Lizbot- that's fantastic-I was thinking she probably loves playing in the waves! Is it nice and cool there?
Ossy Hyouka 7:19:34 PM
Liz - I keep away from all bears and scared straight of them, knowing what they can do, especially when they're predatory and hungry!!!
Lizbot (host) 7:19:56 PM
@Ossy - Skunks are cute but yeah, I fear running into them.I had a close call on one camping trip as a teen while walking to the outdoor shower and a skunk run out in front of me, 2 feet away!- mercifully did not spray! I worked with them at academy of natural sciences Live animal unit in high school and they were very sweet,’but even the descented ones (they remove the spray glands) WREAK because that smell is in every pore
Lizbot (host) 7:20:30 PM
@Readie - Nice and cool and Nuala is scared of deep water but loves running in and out of the surf!
Readie Righteous 7:21:36 PM
It's amazing when driving and encountering a dead one (in the middle of the road), and the odeur gets into the car long before and after the drive-by!!!
Ossy Hyouka 7:22:30 PM
On Esoterica's show yesterday, one of the people posted a link of a grizzly bear killed a camper woman, after she refused to spend the rest of the night in the hotel, being attacked by that same grizzly the 1st time! https://www.newsweek.com/grizzly-bear-attack-montana-woman-killed-broken-neck-1726604
Readie Righteous 7:22:34 PM
Lizbot- if you get a chance, the Sturgeon Moon will be coming up tonight! It should be awesome over the ocean!!!!
Readie Righteous 7:22:44 PM
Pethiieeeeee 7:23:45 PM
I arrived in time for KB!💖
Readie Righteous 7:24:03 PM
Heyyyy Pethieeee!!!!
Pethiieeeeee 7:24:31 PM
Hi Readie! Hi everyone!
Lizbot (host) 7:25:10 PM
Hi Pethie! I hope Vermont has treated you well!
Lizbot (host) 7:25:51 PM
@Readie - Wow, that reminds me - we were on the Seaside Heights boardwalk last night and the moon was huge and orange!
Pethiieeeeee 7:26:10 PM
It has been lovely!
Ossy Hyouka 7:26:38 PM
Yeah, the dead skunks beyond smelly to horror, eeeeee, Readie. Liz, that's a unique feat of removing their stinky glands and working with them forming symbolic relationships, similar to how venom is removed from poisonous snakes. In the middle school days, waiting at the bus stop, a group of birds ran away from a skunk closing in and walking bye, because of it's natural smell lmao!
Lizbot (host) 7:27:43 PM
@Pethie - I’m glad to hear it! ⛰ I am sitting by Barnegat Bay and KB’s Song of Summer is the correct soundtrack for this late day sun over the water
Pethiieeeeee 7:29:59 PM
Readie Righteous 7:30:35 PM
@Lizbot! Yes, glad you got a chance to see the moon last night!!
Lizbot (host) 7:32:51 PM
@Readie & @Ossy - oh man, Nuala got sprayed DIRECTLY on her fur at close range on Thanksgiving night 2019 at my father-in-law’s house & NOTHING was open but a Walmart (which I avoid and have NEVER been in) but thankfully the next morning a PetSmart groomer took pity on us & rushed her in before her other appts! My car was gonna smell SO BAD getting her home, but my father-in-law kindly let us use an old car he was about to sell instead. (Probably got a lot less for it than he would’ve after that
Readie Righteous 7:33:52 PM
@Lizbot, what a story! That is such a shame, Poor Nuala! and you too!!!
Readie Righteous 7:34:33 PM
I think the tomato juice bath is a myth, right?
Lizbot (host) 7:36:18 PM
@Readie - 😆, very much so! Ans makes for a white dog stained red! The house smelled unbelievably horrible that night.
Readie Righteous 7:36:50 PM
Yikes! Break out the Ozium!
Lizbot (host) 7:37:20 PM
@Ossy - ha!! Kinda respect the protection by stank approach to animal defense from predators!
Lizbot (host) 7:39:45 PM
@Ossy - some chip tunez for you
Ossy Hyouka 7:40:46 PM
How such a noisome yucky experience, Liz. Sorry for your dog as well...and car..and living room. Can't think of a smellier animal than skunks, aside stinky bugs!
Lizbot (host) 7:42:46 PM
@Brian D - Re: Boardwalk Empire - Yeah, I mean casting against type is all well and fine, but that one didn’t do it for me. Maybe one day I’ll watch it, but it’s a big time investment for something I’m not totally sold on…I guess I’m kinda burned out on gangster shows and movies after my brother insisted we watch every gangster movie growing up. I DO absolutely love Goodfellas and Mean Streets to a lesser extent, and of course Wermuller’s Seven Beauties, but eh.
Ossy Hyouka 7:42:49 PM
I hear the 8bitness like Deidre did last wednesday and Milky Way earlier in the year!
TAndy 7:43:07 PM
I WAS LISTENIN. (Good evening everyone)
Lizbot (host) 7:43:45 PM
@Brian D - If I set aside that much time for a drama show, it would probably be to finally watch The Wire…yeah yeah,‘I know!
Lizbot (host) 7:44:00 PM
Hello TAndy! Glad you’ve been tuned in!
Lizbot (host) 7:44:35 PM
@Ossy - Nice! I wish I’d caught Deirdre this week!
TAndy 7:45:49 PM
Kraftwerk 💙
Ossy Hyouka 7:48:05 PM
Sad thing me and Tandy missed his game show, last Wednesday, I was completely unaware, til Solomon informed me
Ossy Hyouka 7:48:51 PM
The last sound reminds me of this nes mystery game called Maniac Mansionhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-sEe-qIoaM
TAndy 7:49:09 PM
Hope you caught the rerun Ossy!
Brian D 7:49:32 PM
I gotta get that Routes surf / twang guitar Kraftwerk covers lp soon
Readie Righteous 7:50:47 PM
@Brian D- yess, that Routes album is great
Readie Righteous 7:51:00 PM
Hi Bri and TAndy!
Ossy Hyouka 7:51:12 PM
I got most of it, after CJ, especially Forest Temple of Zelda 64. Mashed it up with the techno remix WDAS Saturday music!
Lizbot (host) 7:52:20 PM
@Ossy - OMG, I played a LOT of Maniac Mansion as a kid! It was frustrating that you had to play the characters in a certain order to win, but still groundbreaking! Fun game! I loved the posters on the wall! The blob!
Lizbot (host) 7:53:03 PM
@TAndy - I wish I could’ve seen Kraftwerk the last time they came around!
TAndy 7:53:28 PM
Hi Lizbot and Readie 😁 I wish I caught them too, but tickets were expensive. AXS is just Ticketmaster 3.0
Lizbot (host) 7:53:58 PM
@Ossy - Damn! I often catch Deidre on Wednesday, but was distracted with beachy things!
Lizbot (host) 7:54:31 PM
@Brian D - Yeah, that Routes kraftwerks covers rules!
Lizbot (host) 7:55:17 PM
@Tandy - I knew I couldn’t go that night, but yeah, they were pricey!
Ossy Hyouka 7:55:57 PM
I never finished Maniac Mansion, let alone get that far. I always get captured by the scary blue residents or getting killed. It was hell. Love Razor and Bernard's theme, aside from Dave's! The tentacle is cool and so is Weird Ed!
Ossy Hyouka 7:56:57 PM
It's similar to DOS game, Hugo's House of Horrors, but easier!
Lizbot (host) 7:57:49 PM
To see the sunset I’m watching right now, just out my Facebook photos I just posted 🌅
Readie Righteous 7:58:37 PM
Enjoy the beach, Liz! IG Sunset pics are gorgeous!!!!!
Lizbot (host) 7:59:22 PM
@Ossy - Not familiar with Hugo's House of Horrors but then I never had DOS. I played a lot of Castlevania original 8-but NES version as a kid when it was new but it was too same-y. Recently watched the ending sequence on YouTube and the music was awesome!
Lizbot (host) 8:00:07 PM
THANK YOU FOR HANGING, ALL! I’ll be BACK in PHILLY and Live remote broadcasting from home as usual next Thursday! Hope to see you again then! 🌅 📻
Lizbot (host) 8:00:19 PM
thanks, Readie!
TAndy 8:00:26 PM
Oh 💩
Readie Righteous 8:00:44 PM
YW, Liz! Uh oh- Doom Funk!
TAndy 8:01:02 PM
I'm going to kick the transmitter again.
