N Regards/Ukłony dla Bogusław Schaeffer Thrill Jockey Records 2022 Matmos is an experimental electronic music duo originally from San Francisco but now residing in Baltimore. The name Matmos refers to the seething lake of evil slime beneath the city Sogo in the 1968 film Barbarella. Apart from releasing twelve full-length studio albums and numerous collaborative works, Matmos is also well known for their collaboration with Icelandic singer and musician Björk (Vespertine and Medulla).

7:35 AM		Maryam Chemirani Bâman Sanamâ Hâl. Ballades Amoureuses Alpha Classics 2021 Siblings Maryam Chemirani, Bijan Chemirani, Keyvan Chemirani (children of percussionist Djamchid Chemirani) along with Sylvain Barou. This release blends Persian and Irish musics.
7:41 AM		Ekova Temoine Heaven's Dust Sony Classical 1998 Ekova (name combining Echo & Ova) were only around from 1997-2000. The group was comprised of musicians Arash Khalatbari (Iran), Mehdi Haddab (Algeria), and vocalist Dierdre Dubois (USA).
7:46 AM		Karsh Kale Home (Mukul Acid Lullaby) Redesign: Realize Remixed Six Degrees Travel Series 2002 Karsh Kale is of Indian decent, but grew up in the United States. His first work was with Tabla Beat Science.
7:53 AM		Igor Cackle Morphine Lemon Drops Melodies You Won't Remember self-released 2018 Another sound collage from WPRB's own Worried Waltzer.
7:54 AM		Steve Tibbetts Mission Safe Journey ECM Records 1984 Steve Tibbetts' music has been described as rock, jazz, ambient, experimental, and world music. Tibbetts refers to it as "postmodern neo-primitivism".

8:02 AM		National Health Zabaglione Missing Pieces East Side Digital 1995 Not merely National Health, but a supergroup, combining members of National Health (Dave Stewart, Phil Miller), Gilgamesh (Alan Gowen and Phil Lee) and Egg (Mont Campbell). Also Amanda Parsons (of Hatfield and the North). Also Bill Bruford on drums. Canterbury heaven! This supergroup provided 3 songs on "Missing Pieces", recorded in 1975.
8:11 AM		Gongzilla Shaman Thrive Nimbit 1998 A distant branch in the Gong family tree, Gongzilla was a reassembly of several of the members of Pierre Moerlen's Gong and played a similar jazz-rock fusion. David Torn joins them on this release.

Leimer Honey To Ashes A Period of Review (1975 - 1983) RVNG Intl. 2014 Active since the mid-70s, Kerry Leimer has released avantgarde and experimental music primarily on his own Palace Of Lights imprint. His more recent work is largely ambient, often tonal, textured and using prepared piano, guitars and synthesizers.
8:19 AM		L'Rain Find It Fatigue Mexican Summer 2021 Taja Cheek, known professionally as L'Rain, is an experimentalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, vocalist and songwriter. Born in Brooklyn, she attended Yale and worked as music director of radio station WYBC.
8:26 AM		Carlos Santana Illuminations Divine Light Columbia 2001 Carlos Humberto Santana Barragán was born on 20 July 1947, in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, Mexico. He plays guitar in a rock-n-roll band. This CD is a collection of remixes by Bill Laswell.
